When I got fitted by lights I tried five different brand of 7-iron until I found the one that felt best to me. We did not try a bunch of different shafts but we tried the same shaft with each 7-iron so we knew we were comparing apples to apples. He set my lie angle at 2° upright and picked out the proper shafts for me. We did not spend much time at all on a new driver because I was not there to buy a driver. Out of curiosity, what irons did you pick out?

I just was there for driver. No irons. I want to play a little more before I spend money on irons
I will likely hold out on buying a driver now too. Will try to own the new grip/ draw, then likely go back and do a true fitting for my entire bag
Like I said I truly didn’t swing any drivers or really get fitted much

This is part of the debate about what needs to come first. Fitting or lessons. My stance is if you haven’t been taught or aren’t being taught how to properly swing then investing in a fitting is less valuable than it could be. If I’m you I’m investing in lessons with Leitz or Noel etc than change your game. Then change your bag.
