Gulf Shores area golf course with 7-year old

the boy and I will be in the Gulf Shores are this weekend and are looking for a course to play on either saturday or sunday.
We're likely going to do an afternoon round since he'll be playing
He actually plays but He tees off from about 175 out and plays the holes that way so sometimes it takes a little longer
Recommendations on courses that may not be absolutely packed but still enjoyable?

Just looked it up. Saw something that says it closed about a year and a half ago.

Soldiers Creek shouldnt be too bad after lunch. Not a super nice course but greens are fair and usually not as crowded as the other courses in the area.

For a full course Soldier’s Creek or Glen Lakes are your beat bet. If you want to have fun w/ the kid & work on short game try Orange Beach Golf Center.

That's correct it's permanently closed and it's going to be repurposed as some sort of wildlife refuge. My sister lives in orange beach and she was telling me about it since i played there when went to visit.
apparently the cost to maintain was too much with the amount of courses in the area. There is a course in foley that is cheaper and easier than some of the main courses there.

The course is difficult, but Lost Key has a great set of short tees that he could hit from. Most of the courses will be packed in the mornings, but have tee times late that would allow you all to enjoy the round. A lot of courses may not even charge him or just a small fee. Whatever you can do so your son has a great experience will last a lifetime with the memories.

I'd love to bring him to Lost Key but it's about 40 minutes from where we're staying. We're almost to Fort Morgan so I got us an afternoon tee time at Kiva Dunes so that it'll be a little bit slower traffic
