I agree the Golf Board shouldn't become the Rant.
I felt it was legit since we discuss Country Clubs all the time.

I toured Riverbend and played it with my brother. Course was enjoyable but the clubhouse, pool, etc.. just was like walking into 1985. Needs serious updates. They wanted $2k down with about $500/month.
Played Pine Forest this last week. 3 9s, updated dining, indoor tennis, resort pool, etc.. Golf was great and many young guys playing. They have an active group of about 125 that play money games.
I submitted my application and hopefully I get in in August or September. $3k down and about $700/month. They've increased capital dues since they're about to start redoing the greens (more undulation) and fairways for drainage. 1 9 at a time.
Assuming I get in, open to time of year when we can get a tournament out there.
