John Hayt invitational college golf 2/5-2/6

Just got home from being out of town and drove up to my house only to see people following golfers on the course behind me.
The annual Hayt invite started today.
4 out of the top 50 teams are competing.
Headlining the event are #1 Vandy and #16 Alabama. Last years NCAA men’s champion from Vandy is also in the event for the Commodores.
Arkansas is here also representing the SEC.
I will try to ink some updates after each day.
36 holes Sunday and 18 Monday

Gordon Sargent is very good at golf.
And Vandy’s absurdly good this year. Heavy favorite to win it all.

Yeah got to see him play through the last few yesterday. Some real good golfers from all over. Amazing how long all these guys hit it. Going to go watch a little this morning.

you're right. my home course has an lsu commit and georgia tech commit and the swing speeds these kids are showing in high school is mind blowing.
and this is coming from someone who played college golf not too long ago.

Yesterday was pretty cool. I got some great video. Gordon did win the individual by a good margin and Vandy won the tourney as a team.
He will be playing Augusta and has reportedly already had LIV try to get him to come their way. He is in line to get enough “points” on the PGA tours new opportunity to get a card for when he wants to use it.
