Henrik took the cash and is out as Ryder Cup captain.

Really starting to hate LIV Golf and Norman now.

It's one thing to stick it to the PGA headquarters but now they are sticking it to the fans.

Down vote all you want, this is not good for the game.

Did LIV ban players from the Ryder Cup? Must have missed that

Lets not mistake, the only reason he's not captaining the Ryder Cup is the Tour, not LIV.

All these doofuses on the internet are acting like these guys are killing people or getting caught with child porn. He's playing other golf tournaments. Who cares?

The PGA tour is not the game

Golf is the game

LIV grows/expands golf

While it may not be smooth, the end result will be better for the pro golfers (on either tour) and the fans

Players… maybe. Long term Saudi plans are unknown

Fans… doubtful. The only way LIV is viable is if they get a huge media contract. They aren’t getting a huge media contract without completely changing their production. They will have to have commercials and ads. Probably more than the PGA. I don’t know what y’all think is going to be so much better.

I personally hate the shotgun start. I like to see players navigate the course from beginning to end.

Maybe, maybe not. I can see some random channel taking a flyer and giving them cheaper airtime. Don't be shocked if LIV starts out on something like USA or TBS and lets it build from there. Ad time on cable is cheap.

You know who owns these networks right?

There is zero guarantee of that.

Tour events can't survive without corporate sponsors and volunteers.

More players leave the PGA Tour, companies start evaluating their involvement and their ROI and start thinking they can spend their budgets differently.

Saw that happen with the Shell Houston Open.

Original BOD saw value and the New BOD says we don't need to sponsor golf.

They absolutely can if they stop subsidizing the careers of Peter Malnati and Martin Trainer

Why ?

The Tour made these players rich and gave them awesome lifestyles. They have insurance and retirement plans.

Everyone wants to blame the PGA Tour hirachey.

It's no different than the NFL, NBA or MLB. They all have their rules and guidelines they expect to be followed.

When the Saudi get tired of golf and they will, maybe they will challenge the NFL or get involved with the NIL in College Sports.

It's not.

Saudi or China could buyout the NFL tomorrow.

I don't get why people think the Tour is the villain. It's a business that works pretty well.

Boo hoo some players think that the Tour is cheating them or don't care about them.

You think Jerry Jones or any NBA Owner is any different ?

Until it isn't better, it is better. Enjoy it. LIV is great so far.

Really?

Honestly - if they did and made the games commercial free - please do it.

Well, if your complaint is about Henrik losing his status as Ryder Cup captain, wouldn't it make sense to blame the tour that just banned him?

Fans benefit whether LIV succeeds or not because it will force the PGA to make changes. In the end, the consumer wins with market competition. Regardless of who is supplying the product here.

Not at all, actually proud of them for standing thier ground.

Norman is driving the LIV Bus and it's his long time vendetta against Finchem behind this.

Taking down the PGA Tour has been his mission for years and now he has found a backer.
