Meh
You can say meh all you want, but LIV now has a lot of world class golfers, young guns, and guys who are past their prime but still are popular draws. People seem to not acknowledge that LIV has done this in less(?) than a year. It's only going to get worse. Anti LIV guys will brush off a guy like Niemann who is one of the best young talents on tour and fun to watch and then act like Will Zalatoris is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

12 of the last 24 majors and 7 of the Tour's top 10 most popular by their own metric.
"not a big deal"

I’m not sure people will want to go to YouTube this week on Saturday over watching the first weekend of College Football.
The next event is against Week 3 of college football on Saturday and Week 2 of the NFL season. I get why they did it, but that’s not exactly easy competition to beat.

The first part of this is correct. The second part is not. It’s 5, which is still very impressive, but you don’t have to make stuff up to get your point across.

What are you, 8 years old?
Why would you care that much about this?
I don’t give a shite about LIV and would rather it not have happened, but beyond that how can some of y’all take this so personal

You sure do make a lot of errors for an accountant. I guess you’re shitty at your job and that’s why you can’t afford to join us at Dallas National

Who did you have to beg to let you play? Or were you interviewing for an accounts receivable job?

Spending a billion+ will do that. Don't act like it's anything other than that...it certainly isn't the playing less and being home with the family more. Winning a tour event, finishing runner up several times a majors ( including a playoff) tends to get you that response

And apparently, the big Tiger/Alfalfa meeting doesn't resonate with the PGA tour as strongly as they had hoped.

I think it helped to keep Cam Young on board for now.

And 6 leave, including #2 in the world. I don't think Tiger put out any fires in the long run.
The PGA looks more top-heavy than ever. They promised more riches to the very rich and Monahan promised a crap load of politics with his PIP for future consideration. Lots of very good golfers are going to be affected by this. And that's in the short and long run.

Those guys were almost certainly already gone. It kept maybe your most promising young player and there were rumors Neimman tried to back out after that meeting. I would say it was definitely worth it

Those six probably already had their contract signed before that meeting took place for all we know. There was no saving Cam Smith from joining LIV unless you had a Brincks truck showup at his house.

Of the 6 only Neimman was in the meeting.

Everyone has their favorite players that they like to follow, this group aren't mine.
They are going to make a bunch of money, so they need to leave the Tour alone and follow their own path.
This lawsuit and ones to follow is what I hate about LIV.

If Cam Smith would have decided to stay you would have made a rambling thread about it
