I told my wife (nudes on reddit) that Kirk was gonna win before they hit a shot today cause the rest of the leaderboard were people ranked 400 or higher in the OWGR. The only excitement was when Kirk, like a dumbass went for it on 18 with a one shot lead. Hit it off the rocks and almost took the windshield out of a Honda Passport in the middle of a lake. Shane Lowry was within 4 but laid an egg. It was sad watching Jack in the booth have to talk about some of these guys, when in the past Rory, Rickie, JT and many other big name players were regularly in the field.

I bet you also told your wife that stud Howell III was going to overtake the vaunted LIV leaderboard too

I would rather watch Eric Cole shoot 67 than Phil shoot 77.

All day, every day.
The "new-for-'23 Phil" finished over par and 17 stokes behind the top scorer in this weekend's Mexican exhibition event. Had they played four rounds instead of three, less-fat Phil would have ended up well more than 20 strokes off the low score.
High score honors went to the legendary Sihwan Kim, who finished 39 strokes back from the low scorer. Three rounds... 39 strokes down.
Kim was smoked by American superstar Chase Koepka, who finished next to last by being 31 strokes back of the low scorer.
LIV may be a fun in-person weekend party. And congrats to the handful of players, however average they are, who are making big dollars. But as a competitor to the PGA and DP World Tours LIV is an absolute joke. Apples to firetrucks. No comparison.

Anybody bitching about the back nine on Sunday at PGA National just doesn't like golf. They like the celebrities of golf.
