I paid a $500 seasonal walking pass for unlimited play anytime (weekends after 1, but they let me play anytime anyway). Best membership I ever had for golf.

No clubhouse...just a pro shop, range, and golf course. All I need!

Pic for those who are shocked that pass price.

And I know there is a LSU Baw (has to be in the horse business) that belongs.

Been to several Western Opens at Butler. Had Greg Norman drill me on a par 3 back of the green. Thanked me for stopping his ball rolling further into the trees.

I've played that course more than 100 times and it doesn't ever look like that. And that top photo (used to be number 4) was an awful hole and still kind of is. It's better since they cut some of the trees.

You better be able to hit a controlled fade or you're screwed. Too much and you're dead in the trees. Hit it dead straight and you're OB. Hit it straight and short to stay in fairway and you have 220+ with a forced carry over water. I've hit 3 wood perfectly for 85 left and I've been in those bunkers so many times with 155 left over water it isn't funny.

When it plays firm you could hit it right down the middle and it would roll out under those trees. It would drive me crazy, unless you literally rolled it off the lip of the bunker you'd be blocked out from the fairway.

Nice. Bet the ball flies a lot with the elevation.
