Announcers are trying to make a deal out of one giving a putt an other not returning
I feel like it would be annoying just putt out

Yeah, I fail to see the big deal that the announcers and, at times, the players make about this. If it’s so close that it should be a gimme and it’s not given, just walk up and tap it in.

If I’m in real match competitive match play in our league, I’m pretty clear with my opponent about why I am not giving him a putt. And 99% of the time they agree.
“I’ll say, ‘I’ve got to see that one.’ And nobody ever gets mad. Likewise, if it’s in three feet I’m probably giving it unless the guy is a trash putter.

Yeah seems like players didn't care
Early match finished and they tried to act like it was awkward and next thing you know they are hugging lol

I’m pretty lenient with giving putts in hopes that it will happen for me. If it seems like they aren’t going to return the favor, I will stop.

It’s golf on tv. Announcers have to talk to make it not dull. Like baseball.

In a match, we putt out all but the ones within a foot or two.
Club golfers miss 3 foot putts more often than they think.
