I may not be reading this correctly?
Inherited money from a 401k?IRA?
Inherited retirement accounts are treated different now.
10 years to empty the accounts(minors and disabled exceptions).
Please expand on the monies and what was done.
Thanks.

Miami has a good defensive line.
I’m sure a simulation would pick Indiana, but in the 10,000 game simulation Miami would have 2000 wins I guess.
Indiana is really sharp. They will most likely win, but it might be closer than their other playoff games.

Mike Leach had the answers.
Two kinds of college football players.
1. traditional scholarship where everything g is guaranteed for 4 years long as you progress academically and devote time to learning how to play football.
2. Hired guns. Paid to play. Can leave whenever and be fired whenever by the coach.

I’d recommend that these kids take half of their NIL in trust until age 35.
Most will be broke earlier, but at least there might be a nest egg to have at 35.
They should do retirement savings max in addition to half in trust.
This is not going to end well for many athletes who move around, never graduate, spend like a 20 year old will.

Well. Some fraud is happening, but it’s not much.

It is unlikely that they understand:

3. How to allocate/invest money to build a future
4. How to say no to posse
5. How to avoid impregnating multiple women who are literally trying to get pregnant by the athlete
6. How to say no to family and friends.
7. How to buy things that create value instead of grills, tats, clothes, cars, and jewelry.
Other than that I’m sure uncle Cleo is the equal of Jimmy Sexton.

re: Do you find you have better speed control with certain putters?
Posted by makersmark1 on 1/15/26 at 3:37 pm to makersmark1
It is true that developing your putting skills and short game skills can help improve scores rapidly. It is always helpful to chip/pitch/putt well.
As you(we) get better, and those aspects become solid and dependable, Then the work of becoming a better ball striker will lead to your best potential. In general, the further you advance the ball off the tee (in bounds, not blocked by trees, not in penalty area) the more scoring potential you have.
In general, better players gain shots on the peer group more with tee shots and approach shots than short game and putting. There are exceptions, but shots gained is predominantly from ball striking for most golfers. What separates a scratch from a 10 the most is driving and approach shots. The scratch is probably a good putter, but the 10 probably makes the same amount of putts from 7 to 21 ft over the course of a round. I realize there are scratches who putt great! There are also 10s who putt great. IF you take 100 scratch golfers and 100 ten index and 100 twenty index golfers, and look objectively, the separations are mostly on shots greater than 100 yards.
For a PGA tour pro, putting is only 15% of the shots gained by a top 40 player(Every Shot Counts by Brodie).
For event winners, they bring that up relative to the field, but it’s still not 50% for most tour even winners. According to Brodie, it’s about 35% for a winner that week.
All that said, most people’s best rounds they keep it in play, get near or on the green in regulation, chip/pitch/sand onto green, and putt with good speed and make most 4 footers.
And of course time at the putting green is often all a working, family man has during the week so sharpening the putting skills is something he can do for 30 minutes to an hour twice a week.

32 putts is solid.
I used to track “total putts.”
After reading Mark Brodie’s book every shot counts, I track putts differently.
1. 4-7 ft
2. 8-21 ft
If I one putt from a ft after a chip/pitch, it gets lost in “total putts.”
I need to know IF I’m missing too many from 4-7 ft, and what distance were my first and second putts IF I 3 putt.
Total putts tells us something, but I think tracking the distance on makes and misses gives more granularity.

Jovic, Overton, Freeman, and Sway are my likely favorites to stay on.
Freeman has real potential. I hope we get 3 years from him.
Jovic is a worker. He will be like Mclemore was years ago.
SWA is young. He has real skills in the post. His ceiling is very high IF he can get to 55-60% FT.
Currently it will be tough for this team to make the NCAAt. Not impossible, but tough.
We were an 8 last week for Lunardi, we probably move down a little in his next update.
The lack of a true PG and a true aircraft carrier big limits the potential.
21 getting minutes in conference games makes it clear that quality depth at guard is lacking.
When does Magwood get out of the doghouse?

I agree- once you’ve tried a bunch of different lengths, hosels, heads, and grips.
I just enjoy trying all the different weights, lengths, plumbers neck, double bend, center shaft, onset, offset, mallets, blades, fangs, and on and on.
I’ll go to a golf shop and just look at putters for hours on a rainy day. Some putters are beautiful pieces of art in my eyes.
Currently my gamer is the 010 Fang style mallet from Sub70 with a double bend shaft.
I also have Sub 70 007w blade, SeeMore FGP blade CS, Ping Anser, Tour Edge Road CS.
I’ve had TM, Odyssey’s, and even a SC.
I’ll admit that it ultimately is probably wasted money, but you can’t take it with you.

Sell calls at the price you want to exit.
I’m in XOM.
I sold some calls, but they are 145s expiring tomorrow.
I’ll probably sell more calls next week at a higher strike.

IF Cam Coleman got 3.5 million, then 5.5 million for a starting QB is not out of the realm of possibility.
“Market rate.”
It started with 7-4 coaches making 4-6 million a year.

Impressive.
He’s making the most of his minutes.
His free throw shooting is 50% so far on 12 for 24.
6.2 rebounds per game.
1.5 blocks.
Playing about 15-17 minutes per game.
