I got so fired up after reading this thread I decided to book a trip there next year. I can’t believe 14 months out they are filling up.

Also, I checked Golf mag top 100 courses in the world for 20/21 and Pac, Bandon, and Trails are in there. Pinehurst no 2 was the only one from that resort. This list included private clubs also.

It's amazing. Get at least a foursome, if not 6-8. The par 3 Preserve course is as great a course as some of the 18-hole layouts you will play. The Disneyland comparison is spot on. EVERYTHING is immaculate. Service, course, caddies, restaurants, even the shuttle system is amazing.
Sheep Ranch will be on the next list. Bandon Trails was my favorite, and it's not even on the ocean.

I know, right? We were 4 last time and we will have at least 4 if not 8 next year. We will play the preserve the first night at 6:15 so we can see sun go down. My buddy says he wants to play trails twice. It was 87/100 on the list.

I can’t wait to play the courses again and am excited about sheep ranch.

To the guys who have played Bandon and all it’s courses, do you think there is an unwritten hdcp to play.
I dream of a buddy trip, but a couple of the guys aren’t the best golfers. Could a 90s player survive on those courses? As much as aI love my buds, I don’t want them to be miserable, especially at those prices.

We played 18 holes per day at Bandon and it is as good as everyone says. The margaritas at the Punch Bowl are fantastic and our putting tournament was a blast. Best golf experience in my life.

Yes, they can survive. Sometimes you just need to pick up and move on. Pace of play is pretty quick there - caddies keep you moving. The courses are not overly difficult with forced carries, huge pot bunkers, etc. It's true links along the coast with hard, uneven/undulating fairways and greens. Our group has 90's golfers over the years and they equally love it - great course and better views.
