Walked Webb today after working a half day. Hit a great drive on 7 and then absolutely nuked a 3w that was drawing in a bit too hard and it hit the top of a small knoll on the right side kicked up and rolled to a foot. Tap in Eagle. Shot 36 on the front and then made the turn and had to wait too long to tee off so I went to the parking lot to leave on a high note and beat BR traffic home.

Heckuva day for the marshals groups. One had one sitting on the lip on Judge #3, on the uphill side. No idea how it stopped. Must have bumped the flag and not gone in.

Then mine on #12 landed a foot past the hole, lipped out trickling back by the hole.

Haven’t had really worth mentioning for a bit, but today’s was a doozy.

On the downslope into a 20mph wind from 175, hit a 3 iron on #15 at the Senator. Lands on the front of the green, rolls over the ridge, breaks about 30 feet left to right and stops a foot from the hole.

One of the wildest, luckiest shots I’ve ever hit.

My SIL struck gold today. He’s never broken 90 in his life, and is having one of his better days. He’s 7 over after 10, and holes out from 118 for eagle on 11 on The Judge.

I tried to one up him, but my shot on 12 bounced off the pin.

Unfortunately, he went triple, triple, double, par, triple, double, triple to finish. God has a sense of humor.

On The Judge today, one of the marshals steps up and dunks one on the par 3 third hole. He had been getting close every week and finally broke through today for the ace.

He both collected all the bets, and the bar tab.

Finally got to put my new putter to work. Was on the range and putting green for 2 hours then played nine. No special shots of note but I did make two 12+ foot birdie putts and no 3 putts. Nothing crazy but a nice first nice with the new flatstick.

pured a wedge 131 to a foot for a tap in birdie...

next hole is uphill long par 4 with mature oaks lining both sides of the fairway...
I looked like a monkey fricking a football and ended up with a triple...

I love this game...
