The majors won’t carry their weight if cam smith and DJ don’t play. This isn’t their fight.

That being said if an independent contractor wants to “work” somewhere else for more money, that’s their business

Howd the LIV event go last weekend? So many posts about it on here I couldn't keep up with all the action

Nobody watched but the winners each made more than double the money in a single LIV event than Rory Mcilroy made in the entire year on the PGA tour.

They just said they won't ban them. They may give a couple of exemptions, but the majority would have to go through final qualifying because they'll be well outside the OWGR needed

I watched it. It was pretty entertaining but being during football season was a bit of a pain since it was streaming (channel swapping).

I would have posted about it on here but everyone comes in a craps on it.

I like the format they are working with

You shouldn't be sensitive about posting information this is a golf board.

Personally I am good with LIV Players earning their way into the Majors wether through an past champion invitation or qualifying.

Plenty of Tour players have to go play in qualifiers to get a spot.

The only thing that I am against concerning LIV is they should not be allowed to jump from LIV and play a Tour event because they have a week off from LIV.

Same goes any Tour players that want to try a LIV event.

As far as ranking points, it has to be fair for both Tour and LIV players. The LIV 54 holes has to be expanded IMO.

Was there even a PGA Tour event this past weekend? Is so, were they college players?

The LIV event last weekend was light years better than the pgat event.

That is a fact people do not like.

Both irrelevant to the larger sporting world. One is a built in off week in the PGA's fall series that many players and fans rightfully skipped, and the other was supposedly a championship event

So in some weeks, watching the PGA tour will be better, and in other weeks watching LIV will be better. Sounds like a win for golf fans

Sure. I would maybe watch LIV on a given weekend if it wasn't going up against football. I'm definitely not going against football to switch to a meaningless (in my eyes) exhibition.

However, when it was Rahm vs Rory on a Sunday a few weeks ago, with the return to world #1 at stake for Rory, I did tune in, even if only for the back 9. Because it was two great golfers playing for something meaningful, on a course that I thought was interesting.

I'm not anti LIV but it hasn't created a reason to draw eyeballs yet, IMO. And being told I must comply because of the big purses isn't gonna sway my opinion.

I loved it, it brought similar, but less intense, Ryder cup feelings. Next year they'll be renaming teams, drafting, trading, signing sponsors per "franchise".. etc.

I think they've got something great brewing here that will draw more fans.
