I have a club glove, love it. Also if your driver has a removable head, just take it off before
I can’t agree more. Use a good bag and hopefully you have a driver that has a removable head. If not, you have to use the stiff arm.
My old driver did not have a removable head, and I broke quite a few stiff arms over the years, but never had any issues with the driver breaking. My new driver has a removable head though so need to use one anymore. I typically travel with clubs at least 8 to 10 times a year.

Ive used a hard case for years and have simply taken my driver out of the bag and left the head cover on. Never overpack it and it's opened more times than not and never had anything damaged or lost.

I have a friend that has often talked about trying to develop some sort of disc with holes that essentially is the same circumference of a golf bag. You place all your clubs through it into your bag and can then lock them all into place. This would allow TSA to remove the clubs to check them, but they can't steal a single club without stealing all of them. He started thinking of this once a club went missing for the second time. I don't think he has made any progress on his idea.
I know this was a thread about keeping clubs from getting damaged, but theft is another risk with checking clubs.
