It supposed to be the culmination of their season long run to a championship.
These are just words. It doesn’t matter what it’s supposed to be.

It’s a 30 man no cut event. For most of us who like tournament golf, this tournament doesn’t have a prayer of being a top event. It doesn’t matter what the tour wants it to be or what you want it to be.

That's the point doofus. The event needs to be reformed.

Of course it does, are you arguing just because I get your panties in a wad or do you actually have something halfway relevant to say?

Fedex and Coca Cola pay a shite load of money for this event. It shouldn't suck.

I agree with this. I think it is a work in progress for sure. I'll enjoy watching it, but it could be better for sure. I think the players are exploring different avenues.

You should check out Rory's scorecard. In order: triple bogey, bogey, birdie, bogey, birdie, eagle, par, birdie

I did.

Tough start being +4 after 2 holes. 2 pars on the day.

East Lake is wonderful in person. Shame if it doesn't translate on TV.

Agree the format could be adjusted but don't hate on the course.

Nice grass doesn't mean it's a good course. Narrow fairways with bunkers on both sides. Long boring par 3s. Yawn

I don't have a problem with the format. It is what it is. The players know the rules in advance of the playoffs. If they didn't like it I'm sure they would let the Commissioner know. My advice is if you don't like it don't watch it.

He can’t help but throw shade like a fricking child. He couldn’t break 100 from the womens tees

Yall act like wanting a better product is a bad thing. This format sucks, that doesn't mean I can't still have some interest, I just wish it was better.

I watch college football and the targeting rule may be the worst rule in sports. It needs to be changed too

The good news for you is that there is 5 weeks of LIV exhibition golf coming up.

Probably going to be better than the fall series tournaments to be fair.

1 would have a bye and 2 would too.

But you want to change this format to a format only used in 1 WGC event to crown the PGA FedEx Champ?

Yet you champion LIV golf that is EXCLUSIVELY this terrible format but with retarded golfers and zero meaning that the tour provides with the tour championship.

What meaning does the Tour Championship provide in this format? We're going to look back at this in 20 years and say "do you remember when the Tour Championship was a net event? I can't believe they actually did something that dumb"

As I've told you probably 100 times, I'm fairly indifferent on LIV. I think if done right, the team aspect could be really cool. I am glad it exists because it made changes to the Tour in just a couple of months that I think will be much better. But if I still have to watch 30 minutes of commercials and 10 minutes of soy Jimmy Roberts features every hour of golf, I'm still going to complain. Because that sucks.

The commercials pay for the broadcast.

Broadcast TV has to have a production value and we are lucky to have talents like Jim Nance who is probably the best announcer of all time.

Gray's essays at times can be very informative and sometimes repetitive.

The LIV production at best belongs on YouTube until it can get better on air talent and producers. It's pretty erratic now.

No, the commercials pay for a $16 million drive way into PGA Tour headquarters, Jay's $15+ million salary, and the hundreds of unneeded jobs at Tour headquarters, amongst other bloat within the organization.

It's not great, but at least it shows golf. Not hard dick commercials and Jimmy Roberts comparing Lucas Bjerregaard to Jackie Robinson
