Daniel suggests we file/sand our callouses this weekend.
Good first full week.

First time all week that the deads were hard. I was gassed when I got to the accessory work.
Ready for a few rest days

After drawing for each set, I'll rep 9, 6, 7, and 4. Much better than 9 across the board.

Just knocked out Jokers Wild. Solid workout. I really liked the accessory lifts.
Glad I was in my garage. I was really straining on that last pullup and, like an old timer, ripped the loudest fart.

Week 2! Let’s go!

Day 11 complete
That last set of deadlifts (5@80%) was tough. I had to switch up my grip for the last 2 reps as my hands were starting to give. Squats felt light on the first 2 sets and decent on set 3.
Other than the ab rollouts, the supersets actually weren't too bad. I went with weighted back extension and DB walking lunges for SS1. The ab rollouts still suck (and hurt like hell), but I THINK I did better on them than last week. For SS2, I went with BB RFESS. I feel like these force me to work on balance more than the DB version. TKEs were something new and felt more like a rehab or PT exercise. It wasn't clear of this was supposed to be 20 total or 20 each leg. I went slow and did 20-25 each leg as I lost count a couple times.
Side note, walking 3 miles roundtrip in 33 degrees wasn't TOO bad. It would've been much better however if I could've found my neck gaiter this morning.

Day 11 done. Those ab roll outs felt good. First workout so for I wasn’t a huge puddle of sweat afterwards

Day 12 in the books
There was some definite grip work snuck in there today. Since the deadlifts were only 3 reps, I went overhand no straps. By the last set, my grip was gone. I couldn't have gotten another rep without moving to a switched grip.
Bench felt extremely light. I have to check notes, but I seem to recall thinking something similar the last time we had bench also. I may move to a higher % on my TM.
The supersets weren't too bad. I did weighted bench dips. I used a DB and squeezed it with my thighs above my knees. That hurt more than my arms. Is there a better way to do weighted bench dips or should I just move to traditional/assisted dips?

Easy one today. Agree that bench felt light.
The supersets were easy until the second one. I went way to hard on the first set of pushups and didn’t have a lot left in the tank for the second and third set

Yeah, the bench was too light. I moved my percentages up this morning since it was 3 reps. Actually did the same on DLs.
Bench dips hurt my left shoulder so without thinking, I subbed in close grip pushups.
Made the diamond pushups hard as hell.
I upped my percentage a whole bunch on back squats yesterday. It seemed too light, too.
Tomorrow's workout doesn't look to bad so I'll probably go ahead and hit it in the morning and then take a rest day Thursday.

Doesn't look like a lot of us running Deadcember still. I enjoy running these plans as a group. Gives us a chance for feedback and questions.
Is there anything planned for January or just on your own?

I was thinking the same. Looks like just three of us. Way down from last years participation.
I’ve been dying to try out 70s big. I think I’m doing that one next month.

It was that ab rollout. Made them run for the hills.
I'm going to jump back in to Benchamin Franklin 2 when this is over.
You guys think Dr Denim has finished Squatober yet? He sort of just disappeared.

Day 13 done
This one was sneakily taxing on the legs. There was nothing overly difficult or hard, it just all started to add up at the end. With the exception of plate twists and crunches, it was 100% legs.
The deficit deadlifts were (again) something new for me. Those extra 3-4" inches made it feel completely different, in a good way. The bar was damn near touching the tongue of my shoes. The extra range of motion reminded me a lot of the difference between BB RDL and DB RDL. I tend to like the deeper motions.
The front squats (as squats) weren't bad weight wise. The weight however starts to add up when trying to keep my elbows up. That was probably the most taxing portion of those.
SS1 and SS2 felt very different. SS1 felt mote like a cardio routine. The weighted step-ups were decent and made me focus on balance. Again I noticed my balance is better on my right side. Sled pulls are sled pulls. Load it up heavy and drag the damn thing. I felt more with the plate twists today than last time. I focused on holding the plate close and really getting some velocity. They felt good.
The trap bar jumps were new and interesting. I don't normally use the trap bar for anything. I looked up the excercise to try and get a good weight. Based on the goal of explosiveness, I went with ~42% of deadlift TM. For the actual excercise it was like a fast trap bar deadlift with a jump at the apex. Going into wall sits after the trap bar jumps was pretty rough. I was glad I did the wall sits near a rack. Made it much easier to grab the rack post when the 30s were over.
I'm going to look into the deficit deadlifts some more. Similar to the pause squats from Squatober, this may be something I want to do more of.

I may do 70s. Initially I was thinking BF1 and BF2. However after hearing all the great reviews and seeing the screenshots Aaron has posted, that one is definitely getting me interested in it.
Pork, you may be on to something. Those ab rollouts absolutely suck. With that said, they'll probably be on tomorrow's plan...
