I workout at 6 am. Wake up at 5 with coffee. To help with intensity I drink a zero sugar Reign Storm on the way to the gym.
Are my carbs the day/night before enough to fuel my workouts and prevent muscle being used for energy? Should I drink a simple-sugar based energy drink instead of the Reign Storm?
*no cardio, only weight-lifting
*hour workout usually 300-350 calories burned
*about 200/100;carbs/fats a day which it not my goal but usually how it plays out. I’m good on protein with about 170-200g weighing 162

I’d probably just try to get a small 10g protein shake down before I lift but it’s really all negligible.

Eat a banana or something light with your coffee.

I know I could be proactive but my adrenaline or anxiety doesn’t really cooperate with food early like that. Was wondering if it’s ok not eating or drinking sugar instead.
