Man you two guys bickering back and forth
There’s more than one way to skin a cat. We are all different what works for you may not work for me and vice versa etc.
There’s really no right or wrong way to train as long as you use intensity in whatever it is you are doing.
We all have different goals and outcomes I have no desire to be a ‘bodybuilder’ or ‘powerbuider’ or ‘strongman’ for example. Doesn’t mean I’m right and you are wrong etc
Do what you want and feel comfortable doing. As long as you are doing something you are ahead of 90% of American population.

im talking intensity in the form of % of 1 rep max not your perceived crossfit intensity shite
You mean like back squatting and front squatting twice a week at 90%+ like I did last week?

im sure you know better than Aaron
Probably not, though I do think a lot of what is probably in jest a lot of people take seriously and I think that is stupid and he should stop doing that

He’d have you believe you are absolutely wrong. It’s his way or the highway.

ok and....you are 160 lbs at 15% bodyfat....unless you are 5'3....prolly shouldnt be handing out that kind of advice
unless you have a family with multiple kids, then prolyl shouldnt be telling the family guy that is also a professional that they have to train their absolute dick off either
1 hour to 1:15 3-4 times a week plus 8-10k steps per day is all most will need. rest is diet.

so you have wife and kids? how many?
you have been squating at 90%+ for years....
Posted on 12/26/24 at 1:13 pm to Mingo Was His NameO
but hey look in the end....what you are doing is 99% more than most and i wasnt trying to criticize you to begin with....but telling someone they must training their dick off to get sub 10% bodyfat is completely wrong.
but if you enjoy training like you do....more power to you.

I think we all can be sticklers on some things regarding health and fitness. I won’t even use an aspirin today for example and avoid seed oils like the plague but others disagree with me and it’s ok. We all have different ways of being the best we can be and that’s what makes health and fitness so fascinating to me. I’ve learned several things from posters on here.

Yes, is that supposed to be some kind of revelation? Do you not know how progressions work?

1 hour to 1:15 3-4 times a week
5 times at least, but generally, yes. Yall just waste a ton of time.

There has to be a ranking. I’m confident I’m at the top. I don’t really care either way. Yall can workout with me and decide for yourself.
Last weeks squatting volume as an example:
Monday: back squat, front squat
Tuesday: no squatting
Wednesday: 150 wall balls
Friday: back squat, front squat
Saturday: front squat
That’s *just* squatting volume. Week also included ergs and running, 150 lb sandbag cleans, power cleans up to 245 lbs, etc, etc

Reminds me of the Boogie Nights scene by the pool when they were discussing their bench and squat maxes

You might need to cut down on the crossfit and spend some of that time on your mental health

congrats, didnt know that and i mean that, having a family is the greatest thing a man can do

of course my man

na, if you are striving for hypertrophy or performance...3-5 min rest intervals are ideal. tons of science and real world data proves that
and no need for 5 days and for most 5 days would crush them
but hey if it works for you, more power to you.
but i will caution about giving that advice to many, especially those starting out...they do not have the time or desire to do 5 days per week. when giving that kind of advice it turns many off
3 days is plenty if done right...leangains, gslp, kinobody and even DC training prove that. if you like 5 days cool, but 5 days is not needed

This kind of mentality is why we have a society fabricated on pharmaceuticals. An hour every day is not too much to ask, if anything it’s not enough. Turn the fricking tv off and get to work

actual gym time....for many it is when you factor in work, getting to the gym, workout and then the drive home
for someone like me, who has a home gym and a gym at work...no biggie...for the average person could be a lot
but thats why i said...3 days of heavy hard lifting then 3-4 days of walking or playing sports with the kids for an hour or more or even doing an in home workout like riding a bike, swimming etc.
