Getting an Echelon ex3 for the house from someone at no cost. Can someone reccommend a comfortable shoe for me? I normally prefer a wide toe box in most shoes.

Get some flat pedals and wear whatever shoes you already own.

I just bought some Specialized mountain biking shoes with better than average toe room. Had some Shimano’s before that and they were great at first but just grew to hate them on longer rides. Most anything will be fine if you’re only doing a half hour or so. The minimum I ride now are 45 minute classes so little things with fit get magnified over time.

I really like SIDI’s but have heard that Lake Cycling Shoes come a little bit wider than SIDI.

I have worn Giro Empire shoes for the last 6-7 years. Love them. The toe box is much wider than my old Sidis.

Edited to add:

Giro has excellent customer service. They have replaced 2 pairs at no cost, no questions asked.

Giro shoes are some of the most narrow, second to Sidi...

OP, most of the cycling shoe brands are making indoor cycling shoes now and several will offer a wide option. i'd go that route

I like Specialized, but find they fit like a glove, after wearing Altras during the day.
