For the last 3 weeks, I have found my right shoulder feeling the way it used to feel after my brother and I would take turns punching each other or after I’d taken a hard tackle back in the football days, but it only feels this way when it’s straight-up directly overhead.

If it’s by my side or horizontal or moving it doesn’t hurt, don’t even notice it, but if it’s overhead, it’s pretty sore. It also doesn’t seem to be limiting my strength or mobility in the gym.

Any idea what this is or how to address it? I’m considering dry needling or acupuncture. Think this could help?

My shoulders would go dead when folding clothes. Hands would go numb. Found out I had severe cervical stenosis in four levels and had to get neck fusion surgery. All I got

Doesn’t feel like soreness, although I have done the Benchamin Franklin 1 and 2 programs back to back so more bench / shoulder work than I’ve done in a while

The soreness doesn’t seem right, because it genuinely is only in a certain very specific angle / position. It feels beyond fine, loose and easy, outside of directly overhead

Mine is sore. Went super heavy on DB press with good form but it’s been nagging for over a month. I only feel it when I reach up to the sky with my right arm.

Any tips?

Yea 50 broomstick dislocates and 100 banded facepulls everyday nice and slow for you

For OP, would do the broomstick dislocates and lay off pressing for 2-3 weeks, and direct shoulder work for a week and then reaccess. Feels good add in lateral raises and flyes from there to hit chest and shoulders if they feel good.
