Use hydrocortisone on your bung hope. “Prep” just means lots diarrhea.

Have you already cut out lactose?
That was the big result of the colonoscopy I had in my 20s from similar issues.
Doctor said he couldn’t find anything wrong but that I should cut out lactose.
Truth be told I was underweight, sedentary, and ate very poorly. And lactose intolerant. For a certain type of person, that’s going to mean a lot of gut issues.

No I haven’t cut out lactose. I’ll admit that I drink a lot of milk in the morning as well as eat dairy products

I would switch to lactose free milk and see if you see any improvement. It’s an easy switch and doesn’t cost that much more.

I tried to get a colonoscopy at 40, and Blue Cross doesn’t cover it until you’re 45. Even though I have had several uncles, cousins have colon cancer and die in their early 50s. I might just pay out-of-pocket instead of waiting till 45. I think it was about $1500, and one person at the insurance company said that if I meet my deductible they pay the rest which is $1200, that I’ve already paid some to. But every time you talk to a different operator, they say something different.

I have a family history and had a large polyp at 40. It’s crazy they won’t cover it sooner when you have the history.

quote:Nah. It's easy. Pay the extra $50 or whatever for the higher end liquid and just drink it. I was most worried about not being able to eat for so long, but all the shite you have to drink really does kind of fill you up. The procedure itself is a 0 out of 10 for discomfort.

Is the prep as awful as people say it is?
