The left is going all-in on this, and there are masses of people (just go to x and watch video after video of people harassing and threatening ICE) who are on their side.
This isn’t like George Floyd or anything else we have seen. This is existential now. Will law and order survive or will the left win this and then crush us when they can (that part isn’t even in question)?

I belatedly realized something this week.
I’ve known for awhile that the mainstream media was a propaganda arm of the regime.
What I realized this week is that it is very naive to think that it would ever be anything but that.

This “ICE are not police” thing is a semantic distraction. They are empowered to do law enforcement and handed weapons by the federal government. Either way, police or not, they are allowed to defend themselves.
The rest of your post is honing in on details but misses the macro view of the situation.
The lady accelerated right at him and hit him. That happened and none of your critique of his positioning changes that.
I don’t like law enforcement shooting people unnecessarily. I don’t like law enforcement putting themselves in harms way and then killing people. I instinctively and consistently criticize police, because I am generally uncomfortable with giving other citizens power over us, even though I know there is a need for law enforcement.
But again, she accelerated right at him and hit him with the car. Cops ALWAYS shoot people who do that, and it’s always justified based on their claim of self defense in the face of grave injury or death.
This was a tragedy, but we are a civilized people with laws and, thank God, we all have a right to self defense, so we should all be lamenting that it happened but moving on from it.

A. The shooting was justified based on a reasonable fear by the ICE agent
B. She probably didnt intend to run over him.
This footage solidifies point A, and I still think point B, but I’ll be darned if I can guess what she was thinking.

I have difficulty coming to grips with the fact that more than a few people now are willing to risk their lives for their belief that we shouldn’t enforce immigration laws.

I don’t understand how there isn’t some felony obstruction charge against every single person who tries to block ICE vehicles.
They should have gotten out of their truck, immediately disabled her vehicle forcefully, and sent her off the jail to await trial, and they should do it to everyone who does this.
Then again, the courts are captured by leftists, so they’d probably just get off.
