I am on neither and give zero shits what anyone puts in their body to achieve a desired result.

It just bothers me how Ozempic and others are absolutely glorified by the nation, yet TRT / Test Cyp, "StErOiDs" are so frowned upon and are a scheduled narcotic.

Why is losing so cheered on, yet gaining so bad?

Testosterone is completely natural, so should be unobjectionable. Even if Ozempic is absolutely free of side effects, it’s not natural.

Oh, but the answer is both that there isn’t as much money in TRT and that the powers that be are anti-masculine.

I don’t think it really matters and me personally if I were considering doing either I would exhaust all other options first before going either route.

Not sure why honestly. I don’t personally care what you decide to do, it’s your body. That said I think it should be reversed.

Trt is treating a deficiency from age. Looking down at somebody for doing trt would be like judging someone for wearing glasses once they get older and don’t see as well.

Ozempic is treating laziness and lack of willpower. Anyone can put a fork down.

As anything in life there are exemptions.

Glp-1 is natural. It’s the same as test, replacing your natural levels.

You understand that HLP is naturally occurring hormone right? And many times in the obese, those levels or low or the signaling completely blocked right?

Both have their place, go you can control more through diet.

Lifting weights has been deemed a sign of "toxic masculinity" and thus must be discouraged.

I utilize TRT. I've been doing well enough with weight loss that my doc doesn't want me on Ozempic. I'm very happy for my morbidly obese friends that are on it as they are looking healthier with improved bloodwork. The already fit women friends that are one it for vanity look rough. Seems like it's added age and created the "Ozempic" face.

If applied correctly, I believe it's great. I do believe it's grossly over prescribed however.

Same, I have a neighbor whose wife has gone from a 4 to damn near an 8 on it.

Take myself for example. I am skinny af, 6'2 160. If I got on a cycle of test cyp or mild TRT (to increase naturally low levels), I would find it hard to believe that anyone not into lifting would give me a "Im very happy for my skinny neighbor that is looking more jacked"

Weight training is so important no matter what you are one. Especially GLP--1's as you're losing both fat and muscle.

yep, glp is naturally anti catabolic but not very strong, combine big time caloric deficit, low protein and no weight training and its the perfect combo to lose muscle.

My mom has been on it for a few months and when I saw her this weekend, her face, especially around and below her mouth, looked much older than before. Noticeable new wrinkles.
This is due to less fat in the face? And this would happen no matter how she lost the weight?

maybe, tends to lose fat from in the face and all over...but could also be from losing some muscle in the face if she is not eating enough protein. seen this happen. igf levels drop due to low calories and low protein

if she wants to stop it some, have her up the protein and start using one of the mouth chew things to work those muscles

Most of the people I know that are taking it have the "ozempic face".

its from too steep of caloric deficit and body eating everything up

she needs to track her macros and calories.

Agreed. I think one of the problems though is that their prescribers aren't doing a good enough job of explaining the macro, calorie, exercise needs, etc. At least around here, it's you're overweight so here you go.

Well they would have to know that stuff to explain it lol

Also ramping up the dose way to fast. For many 2.5 mg of mounjaro is plenty to take the food noise away. Then it’s all about staying strict. Instead they ramp the dose so much they literally control calories by forgetting to eat all together.

Wild West shite show and the medicines are getting the blame cause the pharma companies are putting out bad info imo

Don't you think the companies that developed these drugs would best know how to use them?

*removing tongue from cheek now*
