Says you have to get Insulin levels lower and fasting is only way
Fasting activates growth hormone
Etc.
“There is no industry that will support me because there is no financial gain. Noone makes money when you fast, they lose money”
Let me know what you think of the talk

This has been linked here before. I'm not arguing with the guy or the premise. However, I struggle to reach my daily protein targets as it is. I can't imagine how hard that would be if I were only eating once.

He says you can eat up to twice a day in a 6 hour period during the times you aren’t doing the prolonged fasting.

Dumb. The way to gain muscle and burn fat is to eat, lift and do cardio. It’s simple

The talk is about a lot more than burning fat. It is about overall health

If he wanted people to listen to him he should’ve become a fitness youtuber instead of going to clot shot school
I’m sure he can prescribe us all statins so we get dementia

I’m gonna disagree with this bc this is blanket advice and everybody is different.
Having said that, I’ve been wearing a cgm for a month now. The first 2 weeks I was intermittent fasting and my blood glucose spikes were much larger bc my meals had to be larger to get required protein intake in.
My macros are 2500 cals, 185g P, 185g C, 110g F.
The second 2 weeks my glucose has consistently stayed much more consistent with less peaks and valleys. While eating 4 portioned meals throughout the day including breakfast.
I’ve also had a lower average glucose throughout the day at 89 vs 105 when I was fasting.
To each his own though.

The entire reason breakfast is labeled as the most important meal of the day is so cereals would sell.

There is so much contradictory information out there it makes it really hard to make decisions on stuff like this. I asked my current healthcare provider about intermittent fasting and was told that eating windows didn't really make much difference.

They don't know shite about this type of stuff.

Yes, a recent study that was done didn’t show much difference if you go hog wild during that time restricted period. The goal is to decrease the number of meals and “calories in” during that restricted time

This is what I generally do when fasting.
Protein shake at 2:00 (30)
Greek yogurt at 3:00 (20)
Protein shake at 4:00 (30)
1lb of white meat at 6:00 (100-140)
Greek yogurt at 7:00 (20)

You're confusing fasting with OMAD, which is just one of many flavors of fasting.
