no need to cycle, and 12 is what i would consider the minimum dose. many have used it on here successfully to raise Free test

Ok thanks. No effect on sleep? You’ve never heard of it stopping working all of a sudden?

They say if you don’t cycle it will raise estrogen too high

Why aren't we more worried about the battery of symptoms in this link? And also the seeming lack of studies?

if you take at night, yes it will effect sleep. that is why i said take in morning

- stop working how? did they get blood drawn to double check free test levels before and after?

- those saying it raises estrogen...based on blood work or just "feelings" i have never seen blood work were it raised estrogen and estrogen fluctuates just like testosterone. if its not out of range, it didnt raise estrogen

huh there are tons of studies on TRT being safe

quote:

battery of symptoms in this link

because most are bullshite

here is the list

quote:

Worsening sleep apnea — a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts.

because the effect is only seen at week 7 with no change in weeks 12-18 and then improvement after 12 months. furthermore if you look at the studies this was based on obese individuals. this from the Melehan KL study in 2016, same study many cite for TRT effects on OSA.

quote:

Causing acne or other skin reactions.

any time you see a change in hormones, there is a chance for acne. Once levels are stabilized, these tend to disappear for almost everyone.

quote:

Stimulating noncancerous growth of the prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia) and growth of existing prostate cancer.

because this is bullshite

LINK

quote:

According to some studies, testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) is safe for men with androgen deficiency and prostate cancer, and it doesn't appear to have any negative effects on prostate growth or cause cancer:
Androgen deficiency
Some evidence suggests that TRT is safe for men with androgen deficiency and prostate cancer.
Prostate growth
Clinical trials have shown no evidence that TRT has a nonphysiological effect on prostate growth in healthy aging men.
Prostate cancer risk
Some studies suggest that TRT may actually reduce the risk of aggressive prostate cancer. A randomized clinical trial of 5,204 men with hypogonadism found that the incidence of prostate cancer and other adverse events was low and didn't differ significantly between groups.
TRT may also have a positive effect on lower urinary tract function (LUTS) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). However, high testosterone levels can cause BPH, which is an enlarged prostate

quote:

A study published online Dec. 27, 2023, by JAMA Network Open confirms prior research showing that testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in men with documented low testosterone levels does not increase their risk of prostate cancer compared to men not using TRT.

quote:

Enlarging breasts.

sure if you are no monitoring blood work and the occurrence of gyno at TRT dosage levels is extremely small and can easily be controlled.

quote:

Limiting sperm production or causing testicles to shrink.

we have talked about this 100 times. Not recommended to get on TRT unless you are done having kids. If you must get on and think their is a chance you may want to have kids later, add HCG.

testicle shrinking just makes the dick look and feel bigger. but if its an issue, again just add hcg to the therapy

quote:

Stimulating too much red blood cell production, which contributes to the increased risk of forming a blood clot. A clot could break loose, travel through your bloodstream and lodge in your lungs, blocking blood flow (pulmonary embolism).

at trt dosage levels, hardly ever are you out of range. Top of the range...sure, similar to adult males in high elevations. But giving blood frequently helps this and there are other ways to control this if it becomes an issue

do we want to get into the effects of low testosterone?

LINK

study menno posted summary on that relates to safety of TRT

But my question is specifically around my circumstance - 680ish T and free T at the low end of the range. Is that "low testosterone"? I want to know the risks for a healthy person with already "normal" levels.

So are you saying testicles will shrink no matter what pretty much?

And what about deciding to come off after 10 years? Able to be tapered and get endogenous systems going again or shite out of luck?

my bad, no that is not low testosterone, that is a low conversion to free t rate. Need to improve the rate of conversion not the overall test levels.

boron helps with that.

if you take TRT sure. not from boron. anything that shuts down your natural production will cause the testes to shrink

you would do a full Post cycle therapy to include two serms, hcg and prolly hmg.

tapering does no good as half life already tapers and you body wont even try to start making its own until its out the system

as far as shite out of luck...cant answer that as everyone is different. some fully recover to previous levels, some dont.

i would not recommend trt to someone with total T levels at 680. simply lets see what boron does to the free test levels and adjust as needed.

680 is a good score no matter the age. I only keep myself at 750-800 on trt.

How much test are you taking a week to get numbers at 1300-1500

My injections started at 120 mg’s of test cypionate once a week when my overall test was at 240

After 2 months my number was around 450, and now I get weekly injections of 160 mg’s, I’d like for my numbers to be that high? Would I need 200 mg’s weekly?
