Wrapped up week 2 this morning. Nothing really to report on it. For the most part everything went well. Went heavier than anticipated on several lifts. One negative was right shoulder was a little tender on the incline DB presses. Not surprisingly, I noted the exact same thing last time I did these during DB Strength in late Feb. Not sure why, but I'm really liking the Arnold presses.

My plan for the next several months is Pool Season 2, DB Strength, Brace Yourself, Squatober, (bench program, probably Benchamin Franklin 2), and Deadcember.

Definitely open to other suggestions if there is a different program people want to run.

I think I’m retiring from Squatober. Last year was a struggle. And I got into bow hunting and have a Colorado trip planned at the end of October.

I can respect that. If I still hunted, there'd be no way I'd do a 5 day/week leg program.

I’m going on two vacations in July. I’ll try and keep up while I’m at the beach!

I’m down for pool season 2!

Squat was unusually easy today; it felt more like a good warm-up. I had to actually check my calculation to make sure I didn't use my bench TM for squat on accident.

Bench felt OK. After talking with another guy at the gym who focuses a lot on bench, I realized my grip was too narrow. So I'm working on widening my grip a little. It felt somewhat awkward at first, but I was able to move the weight easier. I didn't widen it much (maybe 2-3 inches each side), but it will take a little time to get adjusted to the way it feels.

Rows, pushdowns, and shrugs all went well. I went up in weight on all 3 of these from what I had planned.

W4D1 was kind of easy. Everything felt light.

Ready to finish this program strong.

Had a birthday last week so had a birthday present of W3D3 squats. Finally able to increase weight for pullover and concentration curls. Have been focusing pretty heavily on pullover form to target my lats, but had some early form issues that impacted my shoulder.

Big pump from this day it almost was equal to W1D4. Going from Bench to OHP is always difficult. Focusing pretty heavily on form for the bicep exercises but really enjoyed this day. Didn't do any extra conditioning and went out to birthday dinner with the wife.

I'm also down for PS2 in July.

We decide to do Pool SZN 2 after this?

Nice straightforward day. Both snatchgrip and traditional deadlifts moved well with just a normal mixed grip. Rows weren't bad, it just felt like they took forever. Ending with BB curls and shrugs was efficient. So far this feels more like a rest week compared to last week.

Same. I'm liking the multiple body parts each day.

Going to increase my working max for both squats and deadlifts for July.

W4D2 done.

Had to wait for the 45# bar to become available bc my gym only has one.

Ended up dropping a 45# plate on my foot while setting up for weighted chin-ups and that bitch is still killing me. I got a nice new bruise
