Hell-I wish I could get in 10 on a good week. I’m sitting at 5-7 per week.

Rouge Roubaix check in. Anyone riding in it? I’ve never done it. I may do the short course.

I’m a new cyclist and considering the short course also. I’ve never done an organized event so it’s intimidating AF. Might go ride the short course one weekend and see how I do.

I’m fairly new to this addiction. Best advice I got for my first one is find a group that is riding as good or a little better than you and hang on. “Get in where you fit in.” That was a road race/ride, though, so it may be different for RR.

There’s a lot more experienced riders in this thread, so this is a good place for advice.

My ride wasn’t all that hard and was pretty short yesterday. I actually cut the intensity back after the first interval because I was still reeling from Mardi Gras activities on Friday night.

However, I woke up in the middle of the night last night because my quads were screaming. I couldn’t even bend my legs without extreme pain. I was finally able to stretch and bend them to where I could curl up on my side and go back to sleep, but then when I tried to stretch them out again while sleeping I was awake and back in pain.

I rolled them out for a while this morning and skipped the trainer ride. I’ll try tomorrow.

ETA: It was rhabdo. FML.

dont line up in the front. the start of these races are usually fast chaos and you wont enjoy being in the middle of that. find some folks that you look like you'd ride well with, line up around those folks and let things shake out. you may end up with a small group, you may be solo for a while. have fun

LOL, it was 66 F here in Denver yesterday and 70 today. Might end up being the warmest winter on record in Denver.

I did 75 miles yesterday and it was basically spring.
