Any tips on watering freshly potted Palms?

I have been working on getting some plants/trees around my pool. I planted 2, 15 gallon Christmas palms. I was wondering if anyone has any tips on watering. I know when we planted a few in the back yard, I manually watered them everyday for a few weeks. My pots are pretty big and I have small rocks in the bottom, then a layer of fabric then my organic soil and the 15 gallon tree. I am a notorious over-waterer. LOL. I planted them yesterday and watered them after and when I came home from work tonight, I did again.
I also planted a small lemon tree and found some info on watering and taking care of it but not a lot on freshly potted Christmas palms.
I am soaking them pretty well when I water and have drainage from the bottom of the pot. Its been mid 80's here the past two day with zero rain. We are heading into the dry season now and I dont want them to die.
Thanks for any tips.
