BR recommendations for column replacement

So I’m looking at replacing the stucco columns in front. Fricking varmints infiltrate them. Not looking for anything fancy, just posts sheathed in painted wood with trim at top and bottom. Any local contractors you’d recommend? TIA.

Do you want wood, or something like fiberglass or metal wrapped? Do they need to be weight bearing?
Any framing carpenter or trim carpenter should be able to handle it. I’d start with a local lumber supply like Holmes, Stines, Picou, etc. Their contractor Dept should be able to give you a few names. Most of them can get you quotes on the different options as well.
I went back and forth on stucco vs wood vs vs precast concrete vs fiberglass. Ultimately went with fiberglass columns.

I replaced carpenter ant damaged columns with thick-walled fiberglass 30 years ago. The original wood was shot after only 5 years. The fiberglass are as good as new after decades in afternoon sun. They get a new coat of paint every 5 years. Be careful shopping, there are many cheap thin-walled fiberglass and aluminum columns available.

This is almost the same experience I had except it has been 23 years and my wooden ones lasted about 7 years.
The heavy fiberglass columns are a buy once cry once purchase.
