Don’t do this with dogs, but putting poison on rodent bait works great. Also, be extremely careful how you do it. Take a plastic knife and put some peanut butter on a paper plate, smear it on the poison and double wrap the knife and plate and throw it away.

The only issue with peanut butter is ants will get all over it.

Maybe I clean the droppings up, hope for the best and let the next owner handle.

Except now there’s a public record of you not disclosing this.

I can loan you our cat. Rat won't last an hour. We have always had cats but never had a killer like this one. Rambo got nothing on her

Try putting a little honey on top of the peanut butter in your snap traps. You can actually make a little trail to the bait with a few drops of honey. It seems to help. Also, as previously mentioned, be wary of foreign scents getting on the trap.

Have you checked into the trash can contraption? I had a friend who had a similar problem and she caught 20 rats or mice the first 2 nights.

It works, also as a bonus you can take a 2x4 or other object and go Gallagher on watermelons comedy skit. It looked like a slaughterhouse floor.

my dad would set traps all in the attic and catch them and then just leave the carcasses in the traps until they were nothing but bones. He said the smell of the rotten mice would keep others from getting in the attic

Do not use poison!!! If the rat/mouse eats the poison and dies and is anywhere where your dogs can get to the body, the poison can kill your dogs! I've had that happen to me and know of others who have had the sad experience! I use peanut butter and put out multiple traps! Good luck!

You got to locate their points of entry and cover them with chicken wire so they can’t get back in.

Then set whatever traps. I personally WOULD NOT use poison if you miss one it will stink like shite and they will instantly know you have a rodent problem!

I have had 100% success with multiple properties by using those humane traps baited with Hershey Kisses, way more effective than peanut butter. They go NUTS for it.
