Is the Maytag Commercial really comparable to SQ?

Was about to buy a SQ but if the Maytag is comparable Id roll with that for half the price

Napoleon is the resident expert. Thank God I listened to him and bought a Speed Queen years ago.

TD recommended a Speed Queen TC5 when we were in need and it was expensive.
Pretty basic and old school - which we wanted.
So far, so good, but it is very loud.
Would go to Speed Queen again, but you might look for a quieter model or close the utility room door.

Thank you. My stupid Maytag literally sits on wash cycle for an hour or more. Not even a large load. And it’s not even one of the newer models.
