Don't be surprised if Sterlington beats West Monroe, it's gonna be a very good game.

haven’t lived up there since 2007. I’m so out of touch with what’s going on over in Shreveport. If my memory serves me right didn’t they have a division or split in the church and another school even evolved from all that drama. Shreveport has some pretty good players but you have to get them all on one team.

John Booty, dad of josh, Abraham and John David left and went to Calvary. I won't comment on why because I don't know. Ex LSU player Byron Dawson took over. One of Calvarys former coaches was Doug pederson that went on to win a Superbowl with the eagles.

Neville plays at Evangel I believe the first game of the season. Booty has twin sons on the Evangel squad, one plays QB and one is a WR. Evangel has some good DB's as well. Most just haven't camped much and aren't household names but they do have a senior safety that could be a sleeper.

There are some solid college prospects up there this year I’d have to go take me in some games. Honestly I don’t recall Farmersville ever having a good team. But I’d like to see the LSU commitment RB play. You just never know when you are watching a future NFL hall of famer.

Farmerville and surrounding schools consolidated into Union Parish High School.

Union won the 3a public state championship in 2014 and they’ve made it back to the dome twice since then (I’m pretty sure).

They made it to state this past season and lost to Sterlington (another Monroe area team).

Trey Holly (the LSU commit) is an animal. He was the MVP of the state championship this past year despite losing the game.

This is crazy talk. WM is going to steamroll them, this game won’t be close.

Maybe, but Sterlington only lost 2 players off last year's team and WM is not what they used to be. Sterlington has way better coaching than WM. They've slayed giants before.

If WM was smart they'd fire their staff and hire Doty.

This narrative is overblown. WM lost in the Semifinals in ‘20 and had a 3 TD lead over eventual State Champion Zachary last year. ‘18 WM outplayed and lost a heartbreaker to Zachary in the Dome. ‘16 ran into a buzzsaw in the Dome with Landry Walker, also Bolden got hurt early.

Also ‘17 lost a classic to ZHS in Semis

WM is still right there. Sure they’re not as dominant as they were 20 years ago, and that’s probably a good thing for the sport. Biggest knock is QB play has been underdeveloped. But to pretend they’re not still a state power is short sighted. They still got a lot of dudes, dudes you’re gonna be hearing about for years to come. ‘25 and ‘26 class is stacked. They’ll make noise this year, next year they win the State Championship imo….and then the window will be open for a few more years. Rebels ain’t going anywhere.

Glad to see my boy Garvin taking over and doing good things out there. We graduated together and played at OPHS.

I was Class of 96. You and I go waaaaay back, Chuck. Your former step father taught me how to back a trailer down a trailer in his original IV truck at Felsenthal when I was 13. I talked to that old rascal this past week.

I knew your sister well back in the day and glad to see she found happiness. Your mother was always a delight back in those days.

W Monroe lost to Ruston tonight in jamboree by 20pts. Sterlington beat Neville. Sterlington is dressing over a 100 players, they have the depth and talent to beat anyone.
