What I remember was he was a player that the staff kept on the back burner to the end of the recruiting cycle. When the staff figured they had room he opted to sign with LA Tech

He had no interests in LSU and LSU had no intersts in him. He went to LA tech, he foregoing his senior year. That the story on Amik.

What most don’t realize is Amik became a father when he was 15 yrs old and he had to grow up fast. His goal was to attend college for 3 yrs, get immediate playing time to showcase his talent for scouts, and get to the NFL ASAP to give his family a better life.

Did not know this honestly. Dude seems like a really good kid. He’s a boss and def plays with a chip on his shoulder and now it makes sense between his size and the fact that he grew up real quick.

Dude slow your roll. He'd have struggled to get on the field this year with Fulton and Stingley. Be real. He is a great player who would have contributed and helped us be a more complete D to win a natty but we got dudes who will be drafted ahead of him.

He would be starting and dominating in the slot. Honestly think he’s a better play maker than Fulton and better in the run game. Of course not Stingley, that dude is the best CB in the past 20 years. All I’m saying is the dude is a monster. Just watch his highlights. If the dude played at LSU, Bama or Ohio State, everyone would be talking about drafting him in the 1st.

Offered late, he was loyal to his committment. He decommitted from tech once, but stuck it out.

Ok, moron. He would have see a ton of playing time and would have started over Stingley and Fulton. He’s about to be a great NFL cornerback.

LSU won a National Championship without him. I guess they didn’t need him.

Fulton and Stingley were two of the highest graded corners in the country this year and both graded as first rounders. When you consider the level of QBs and WRs those two saw throughout the championship run, many of which will be first rounders themselves, achieving that grading is no small task. That's not taking away anything from what Robertson has accomplished down at Tech, I think he would start on most power 5 teams. But to assume that he would start over those two corners is bold at best.

Amik and it’s a no brainer

I agree on Amik but idk about no brainer. He’s been putting up gaudy numbers, sure, but the level of competition is not great at La Tech

Not saying he’s not a baller or that he wouldn’t have been a player at LSU or won’t be in the NFL... he checks all those boxes

But Vincent is a dude too now. Got picked on a good bit this year early on but back half of the season he was nails playing the toughest position on D in the slot. He’s got ELITE athleticism and that pick against OU off the flea flicker was nasty

Still would take Amik but idk about no brainer

He was on ESPN 104.5 Baton Rouge yesterday, he said his LSU offer came in after he was committed to LaTech..

I commend him for sticking to his original commitment, but damn how do you turn down LSU for Tech? It really must have rubbed him wrong being slow played.

Literally went back 10 pages on the recruiting board which dates back to the beginning of February and there was not a single Amik thread other than mine.

Search in the search bar at the top of the board for the word in "subject only" and you'll find your topic easier.

I was trying to politely tell a fricking idiot how to find the topic instead of posting the 3rd amik recruitment thread in 6 months.

Sorry I don’t peruse TD 24/7 and search every topic before I post a thread. Apparently your dumbass has time for that. Instead of being a little bitch about it state your opinion on the topic and kindly say that it has been posted twice within the last 6 months. You don’t have to be a ho about it but apparently that’s you tough guy.
