I could see PJ taking a giant step this season and having a long career in the NFL. Reminds me of Ron Brooks who became invaluable by the end of his LSU career.

Our best hope is that a small school up north hires him next cycle. If he still hasn’t been hired after next year, we know he’s never going back. He can half arse look for jobs and make it appear he’s holding up his end of the deal.

LSU did well in the portal because of the brand behind LSU. I highly doubt one of the portal guys last year came to LSU because they wanted to play for Brian Kelly.
3-4 more OL, preferably with experience, is what we need. Work your magic Lane.

This new OL coach will have his work cut out for him. The previous regime nuked that entire room and didn’t develop a soul. We’ve seen Lane do more with less and he’ll have to do that again this season.

Looking at the depth chart with added portal guys, I’d say we need at least 4-5 more. We are still extremely thin there.
If we can just be slightly above average on the OL in 2026, I’m a lot more bullish on this season. Time to finish the portal shopping with some big uglies.

The problem I have with Guilbeau is that he’s allowed to make his bullshite comments whenever he pleases but when someone tries to check him, he blocks them on social media as if he’s above being held accountable.

Howard never progressed in college like most thought. At this point, he’s not good enough to play in the SEC and looks inferior to most power 4 QB’s.

I’m not referring to the players specifically. It’s the agents and occasionally family members advising them to jump in and test the market. The agent pool is so watered down with people who have no business advising animals, much less people.

Lots of bad advice from people looking to exploit these players for personal financial gain. In 5 years, they won’t give a shite about Darnell from San Jose State who got stuck in the portal without a landing spot. Sucks for the kids who don’t know any better.

He committed to FSU because of Atkins. Once Atkins was let go, he decommitted we scooped him up. Atkins just happened to get hired here after Thomas was already here.
