Agreed. Bama has a bunch of linebackers and DBs. A comparable situation would be if James Wright signed for Bama or Auburn, while Reed, Davis, and Hunter sign with LSU.

BTW anyone in Bama saying they didnt want Sam is high. One reason why they are so burned is that he wanted to be an LSU Tiger. Also he was to be offered at both the AU and UA camps following committing to LSU. He is the best player on the best team in Bama, soon to be Mr Football Alabama. The Prattville coach said that he was their best player and that is why he is a QB, he said he would rather have Sam on defense but too valuable as a QB.
I also hear he is a freak on defense.

i doubt that. he doesnt put up big enough offensive numbers last year he was 84-149 passing, 11 td's, 7int's, 56% completion, and rushed for 480 yards with 107 attempts with 8 td's. he's good and has a great team around him, but he won't get mr football.

actually 2 lsu commits have been alabama's mr football. rb robert davis in 1991 and qb jamarcus russell in 2002

Like I said above, Saban might have missed one. Only time will tell. I'm not going to try to speak for the coaches, I can only speak for myself. I'm not upset Gibson's going to LSU. I didnt even know he was a big time college prospect until he committed to LSU. But why hasn't 'bama or Auburn offered yet if they are so burned? Saban goes after guys committed to other teams all the time

thanks, Prom. I wish the kid the best. My ole lady is from P'ville so I get updates on the team every once in a while. I'll pass along any interesting info I get during the season.
