ut it can be made up by getting beckham as WR, if sylve elects to stay with bama.

or is beckham probably going to be only a cb?
maybe, but I'd rather LSU have both (as should be the case)

I wouldn't say "blow." That's a little much. Like I said in an earlier post, I really think that LSU will be able to find someone just as good as Sylve. Like you guys said, yes it sucks he's from La and is going OOS....who's next on the board?

There's nobody out there that is going to match Sylve's speed and big play ability. Once we get somebody else, I'm sure you'll say it makes up for Sylve bc he's just as good but it won't

Devery has elite straight line speed, how is that not extremely valuable?

i didn't say it wasn't valuable. but you can find tons of pure speed guys. sylve is fast, but it's not like he's olympic fast. i'd guess beckham is right in the same realm speed wise and i prefer him mostly because he's got NFL pedigree in his blood.

It's the 1st player Saban has pulled that LSu really wanted. It says a lot because we are so dominant in LA but it's been/being way overblown. If Saban had never coached at LSU would we care so much when he gets a player? No.Ask Georgia, the Florida schools amongst others how they feel about Saban getting top players away from them. He's a very good coach that just won a NC and is a great recruiter. He'll be a factor in any state he wants to.We really need to stop making such a big deal because he gets a few players from LA.

jezzus, it's a relative term. You lose a guy you want badly from right in your back yard, it's a blow.

Trovon is better than any other WR LSU signed w/ an argument to be made for Boone.

No, Arkansas losing Frazier/Cook(guys they want badly from right in their back yard) when they don't have deep home-state talent like we do this year, is a blow.

This just sucks, and him committing to Alabama is the reason its as bad as it is.

there's not another kid that LSU is more likely to get this year. If they're tons of them, where are they on LSU's roster? Shep, and...Tolliver maybe? Beckham is not on the same level and LSU wants him as a CB

if Saban had never coached here, LSU wouldn't be the program it is today and we wouldn't expect LSU to recruit at the top level at all. LSU is built on LA kids, and when a rival coach steals one out from your backyard, ppl should take notice.
