Dude I promise I'm not trying to rile anyone up. JJ27 and you have been level headed and objective - admitting LSU strengths where they exist and acknowledging Bama's strengths where they exist. I'm just responding to the guy's question. Check the post history on me. I don't flame, I don't rile, and I don't troll. I speak my mind and try to be respectful. Tone, inflection, and emotion don't always come across in the typed word.

I'm sure you can appreciate that this is a sensitive topic that will bring out it's fair share of retards on both sides.

I don't have admin powers or anything. I'm just saying that shite's going to be taken the wrong way no matter what right now. It's best to not tempt the fates.

No doubt. I'm of the opinion that the kid can't go wrong. If he picks the home state school then he is going to play for a top 5 program, have a chance to start, a chance to win championships, and a chance to make the NFL (it's largely up to him to make that happen).

If he picks Bama he'll have all of the same advantages (except home state school) and a team that has a better draft record for his position lately (with two different o-line coaches, which was my point - it isn't just the coach, it it the entire program developed for that position).

He's in a great position as long as everyone remembers he's still just a kid making a decision about HIS life and let's him make that decision himself without making him feel bad about it (or implying that it was not his decision at all, which would be insulting to the kid).

My response was that coaching tenure hasn't proven to be relevant to o-line draft success. Bama has done it with two different coaches. LSU has not has as much success with the same oline coach for years.

The guy was implying that b/c bama's oline coach had not been there long that somehow that meant Bama would stop producing 1st round picks.

Assume much?

I asked a simple question you jumped to conclusions. It is not your fault, you are a emotional teenager. I understand "Dude"!

LOL. How on Earth did you conclude that he "implied" that?

Nope.

Wrong again. What were you saying about jumping to conclusions?

Let's just drop the subject of o-line coaches and their success at putting players in the NFL.

EEs sign their NLOI before Christmas. That's about 6 weeks before National Signing Day. Still, it's a long time until mid December. It'll be 3 1/2 months after commitment before he signs.

4 downvotes...? oh well, haters gonna hate. I suspect its due to a little 'esprit de corps', but bad form from the board nonetheless.
