It’s the timing that’s off. He had a medical issue, then came back to play two games. It’s difficult under that set of circumstances to argue that his medical condition ended his season.

It became too much to bear! It was only two games. Let him cook. Pavia got 2 years worth of Junior college. Seems like he played so much extra football.

At least Chambliss actually had something medically going on.

Ferris St had a successful two-QB system in 2022 on their way to the DII championship. One QB had 1500 passing and the other had 1500 yards of total offense. Chambliss wasn’t getting playing time that year regardless. He only had 33 pass attempts in 2023 as well.

Chambliss is the obvious plug and play at our qb position if he gets his wavier and im sure him and kiffin have had discussions of this. The bigger question is how long do we wait for a waiver? We will need multiple QBs but the high profile ones wont stay in the portal long

Ferris St is not signing off that Chambliss was hurt. That's the rumor. He is trying to get a medical redshirt

He would probably get a waiver for that as well then.

“He would probably get a waiver for that as well then.”

Maybe, but teams are going to lock up their 2026 QB by then. Can’t afford to wait.

Yeah, the timing is crazy. I think a decision will come soon.

So it looks like the submitted ENT record from august and december and the NCAA probably wants documentation that he was having issues during the season

He’s saying he couldn’t play because of chronic tonsillitis

Article on Nola.com yesterday has some supposed clarity to points brought up in this thread. Sorry if Germans, Heil!

Apparently the medical redshirt is for a respiratory issue keeping him from playing which led to tonsillitis. The redshirt isnt for the actual tonsillitis. He has submitted 91 pages of records to the NCAA. I doubt "just" tonsillitis is going to pile up 91 pages.

Also mentioned is Chambliss is still very confident he will get approved.

I still think he gets approved. I can't believe they won't help him with the timing here though. Meaning the portal opening.

Well, I never got my tonsils removed, so I shouldn't argue your point, but Ive had 2 separate torn ACL surgeries, and there isnt 91 pages of records for both combined. Not even close.
