The thing that grabs my interest is, statements made by some on here that RR supposedly gave Stoops a silent last Wed/Thur when he was in La for a in-home. Then Dmitch makes a post about interviewing & being offered a job on Thursday near a school that RR was considering. If RR does choose OU, and Dmitch takes a job in Oklahoma- Well that would smell just fishy...

This is how the meltdown transpired over the course of the day (and it all started about 3pm if I remember correctly):

1. The Champ and his Dmitch facebook story combined with his "friend Bama athletic department intern" and chipper Bama coaches' story

2. DMitch denies ever having facebook

3. Randle's dad all the sudden pops up on the radio blasting LSU and claiming coaches lied to him regarding Randle's competition and receiver slot.

4. TD recruiting board Meltdown

we should be really excited about the receivers we have already. We have a shitload of talent at that position.

How can LSU's coaches have lied to Randle's family about competition? If he gets here and is the best, he'll play over everyone. If he's not, he won't. You don't promise a true freshman a job over a 5 star junior. That is insane.

If Randle's father is upset about that, then we have the whole Mitch Mustain incident all over again. I'd expect my son to have to earn a starting spot, not be given on before signing day.

If that is true, it's totally unbelievable. LSU is one of the top 5 programs in the country. True freshmen don't get promised starting spots. They have to earn them if they are good enough.

Wow.

If a player isn't going to have to compete to start as a freshman that is not an elite unit on the team.

LSU has an elite WR corp. Lafell and Tolliver are upperclassman. There is also the Mitchells and Trindon. Shep could possibly play WR and Benton might commit as well. By his second year he could be the top guy if he is good enough. The only really big guy with playing time that is going to be here after next year is Tolliver.

LSU will get the WRs involved. They will have a lot of WRs on the field at the same time. If he is good he will play.
