That would be a huge mistake on Coach O's part. It would probably lead to disaster. There is no price tag on a coach's word and integrity. I thought last year the stunt Coach O pulled chasing Tua at the last minute was a serious blunder. He does not need Shea Patterson and his baggage.

at this point, id take kim jeong un, assad or Harvey Weinstein if they could sling it.

All these pussies on here complaining about how Shea broke their heart. He is a Top 10 qb in the nation and you wouldnt winning over being butt hurt? I know he did it in a douchey way but he made the decision for him. Now it has caught up to him and he made the wrong choice. BALL DONT LIE and he needs to come back. Anyone who felt wronged...gosh bless your little heart

"elite"?
58%, 7.09 YPA, 6 TDs, 5 INTs vs SEC opponents last year
56% 6.09 YPA, 2 TDs, 5 INTs vs ranked opponents last year
54%, 6.6 yards per attempt vs SEC as a freshman

Lol.
Some people's definition of elite must be pretty low.

Has it ever crossed your mind that O knew what he was doing offering Tua? Maybe he even had the foresight to realize that the 2 QBs our previous offensive geniuses had identified and offered were just like the 10 previous years.
These bozos spent 2 years on Feliepe Franks when they had Shea Patterson's brother on their staff. The one absolute given about Les Miles was that if he thought you were a serviceable QB coming out of high school, you need to change positions. If Les Miles had to choose a QB at a Heisman Trophy winners reunion, he would take Charles Woodson.
Maybe O didn't trust the assessment of his predecessor. A physical runner w 2 blown out tires and the accuracy of Brandon Harris included. Maybe O wanted what the team he needs to beat has. A QB that can make plays with his feet and still accurate enough to complete passes with open lanes due to defenses having to respect his ability to run.
Oh, and amazingly enough, doesn't need much development, doing it first year out of high school. Is it possible, even likely, that LSU once again has most of the pieces necessary to beat AL and win the West, even the OL, but will be handicapped at the QB position so badly that LSU scores more points w their RB taking a direct snap than they do the entire rest of the game?
You bet your arse! O is very aware of the situation. Unfortunately, the only thing he can do about it is hope to identify that kid and get him to step on campus and stay. Because he can't personally develop that position, and his current OC has only done well w JRs and SRs.
In other words, don't be worried about 2 years from now, you better worry about next year.

Narcisse is a much better passer then you give him credit for, he's not Jalen Hurts. He throws a long ball with excellent touch, something Harris could not to, and to tell you the truth he throws most of his balls with nice touch. Lowell Narcisse reminds me of a left handed version of Ryan Perriloux, they about the same size with Narcisse maybe a lil heavier, but sadly we never got the chance to see Perriloux play a full season for LSU. But I mean look at the film, he's just smooth with the football in his hands running or throwing. He is the type that could or could have won a Heisman if he hadn't injured both knees. Don't know if he can get 100% healthy again, but he is still super young and has a chance to. LINK

I haven't seen it in limited snaps at scrimmages. Lindsey Scott got more snaps. Not a good sign, IMO. Rocket arm though.

Well, it always is with regards to seeing how talented a player is in practice because it's practice, and he's basically working his way back after two serious injuries with the others getting all the reps. But I just look at his HS film on Hudl and visualize him doing the same behind the line of scrimmage at LSU, and the talent is obvious. I mean he's basically running a spread with the read option at St James and just making plays. LSU should have him do the same, but you never know with them. Lol
