How are we supposed to finish top 5 if we can just get outbid for everyone

He was never committing to LSU since the earliest he could have seen playing time was in 2027.
LSU won't get a QB in this 2023 cycle because of that situation. However, LSU must get one in the 2024 recruiting cycle.
We're getting a QB, because 2 of the QB's on the roster won't be here in 2023.
Whether it's a 3 star freshmen or a transfer remains to be seen. Maybe even both.

I say flip Collins and call it a day at QB. We have 2 freshman studs so it was always going to be tough to get a top QB. Not to mention, new staff, relationships, etc. A great QB that is a bit of a project like Collins is a perfect fit IMO
I used to also believe we would just get him if we missed on the big boys, but this kid is likely going to finish as a top 7-8 QB in the rankings. Hope we can pull off either because I like both of their game.

I’ve always wondered why the board’s expectations were so high when there’s simply not enough money for LSU to use
You can only go so far in a top QB’s recruitment before they start expecting money. LSU can’t compete for these guys with the money being thrown around
On to Ricky Collins

People have been excusing all difficult recruiting news lately for reason or another

Of course, Brennan and in all likelihood Daniels will both be gone after the 2022 season.
Regardless, I believe Nuss will start in 2022, 2023, and 2024 and then head off to the NFL after his redshirt junior season.
Then Walker Howard will take over the reins and start for the 2025 season and the 2026 season. Then Howard will leave for the NFL after his redshirt senior season.
Thus, any recruit five-star, four-star, three star, or transfer who is stupid enough to commit to LSU in this current 2023 recruiting cycle won't have an opportunity to see the field provided he wins the starting job until his redshirt senior season in 2027 at the earliest and in which likely means LSU will not get a QB to commit during this 2023 recruiting cycle, and if one does foolishly commit, I don't know if I would want such an individual to ever start for LSU.
Meanwhile, you guys continue to down vote me because it is obviously too complicated for you guys to figure out and it's hilarious.

No, we downvote you because you try so hard to be retarded.

Then go ahead, put your money where your mouth is and prove me wrong?

LSU is dumping money in basketball and baseball with them stealing whoever they want in baseball right now and you really think they're not going to dump money in football? The sport that's the reason the athletic department makes their money? They will sit knowing a deal is front of them unless someone comes along and offers better.

NIL or money doesn't have anything to do with it. If a potential LSU QB commit in this 2023 recruiting cycle won't be able to see the field at the earliest until they are redshirt seniors in 2027, then no amount of money in the world is going to force recruits to do that to themselves. They'd have to be severely mentally deficient to do that to themselves and if they are severely mentally deficient enough to do that, then I don't want them being the QB starter at LSU.

Actually it comes very easy...

You obviously don't know the numbers being thrown around for top QBs right now. You're the one who's mentally deficient. Anyone would sit on their arse for 2 years to make 2 million or more waiting their turn. There's nothing to lose doing this and plenty to gain. They can still get their time and bolt to the NFL as soon as they're eligible.

Kinda weird honestly. I know money talks but it seems weird how LSU just disappeared so quickly out of this one.
To me it says money was the only factor.

Please stop saying this dumb shite.
Every big school has top qbs as freshmen and redshirt freshmen.

When you stop being stupid, I'll stop saying it. Until then, you can kiss my arse.
How much you want to bet LSU doesn't get a QB in this recruiting cycle?

Is that why Holstein decided he'll sit behind a highly recruited QB?

Man, you are one stupid motherfricker.
If Howard is as good as we think he is, he'll be in the NFL in 2025. There is playing time for any QB that signs.
