The fascination this site has with this guy is weird. The only time he has ever been a DC was one year at LSU. Even then the D was dog shite until Kiffin told O that they were too predictable and needed to blitz. The only reason they performed so well against Bama was they caught them off guard and was doing things they haven't done all year and just threw caution to the wind blitzed the shite out of them. This wasn't even something he the DC came up with. It took Kiffin telling O and O stepping in and helping Jones. If this guy is so great why has no else been interested in him as a DC
ORRR, and here me out, Coach O got out his way and let him coach the way he wanted. We heard about O meddling with Aranda and the fiasco with Pelini.

Dude, this happened only 4 years ago. You're acting like it's been 10 years. He's finally got Minnesota's pass defense up to snuff finishing #1 in the NFL. That pass defense over the last 6 games had been crazy. His pass defense had carrying that Vikings team. McCarthy is so arse, that offense is so arse.

I do not miss seeing that name, at all
They stopped handcuffing Jones towards the end of the season. The last 4 games they gave up 20, 16, 14, 24 vs Bama, Arkansas, ULM, and TAMU.
Yeah I'd say 10-2 is 100% possible at that point.
We missed him coming out of high school, but seeing what his older brother did at LSU, and where he is projected to go in the draft (#1 CB so far), it makes sense for him to be heavily interested in coming to LSU.

If kiffin thought he was a top 2-3 WR he would still be at LSU

This i agree with
quote:

He was at best 6th on the WR pecking order behind Wilson, Jayce, Watkins, Brown, and Harris. Plus the reps TreyDez gets out wide.
This is HIGHLY opinionated. Maybe it's because you have a different way you see it, but no way in hell he would be outside the top 5. I know Wilson is great, but Parker literally has those same qualities. Watkins is okay, but he did nothing spectacular in his one year of a far superior offense to put him above Parker. Tre Brown is not better than Parker. The only two i would not put him above are Jayce and Harris. However I have no problem with anybody having a difference of opinion on 3-5 (IMO Wilson, Watkins and Parker in whatever way you want).
quote:

No offense to Parker, but the guy was here for 3 years and had 385 yards. Some of you are delusional in regards to him.
first year was redshirt. 2nd year he was about to become a top target for Nuss mid season, but he got hurt and lost that chance. This year and in a room of just confusion and injury, he emerged as a reliable #4 to a trio of 4th year receivers.

I dont understand it… i get the desire to move on from kelly, but with kiffin here youd think he would want to be a part of that offensive juggernaut. Maybe he was just burned out and needed something new
count how many WRs Kiffin got in the portal. Recognize what year this is for Parker in eligibility.

Ask yourself after you do that, would YOU stay knowing you're one of like 10 random guys with experience vying for 3 starting positions? Kiffin nor the inside WR coach know Parker from a can of paint. It's a free for all for these positions.

Ohio St is also losing a ton of WRs after Hartline left. Only 2 people who caught a pass last year (2025) for Ohio St are returning. So far they have only brought in their freshman and one other transfer WR. It is literally the perfect opportunity for him to succeed.

It is scary how much this reminds me of Trey Palmer. Palmer spent 3 years at LSU and left with eerily identical numbers in his final year of LSU to Parker. He goes to Nebraska and in one year catches 71 passes for 1040 yards and 9 TDs. This also happened after a coaching change at LSU, and this also happened when the WR coach wasn't retained and he went to a new school and his guy came with.

I love cheering for our guys to do well in other spots as long as they aren't the enemy like Alabama and the like. Hoping Parker can be that #2 to Smith and get himself 800-1000 yards and a good draft pick.

And if that continues it could cause him to slide. He was a guaranteed top five pick this year
Josh Allen had an effectively worse season coming back and still went #1 overall

Allen completed around 56% in both years people wanted him as a #1 overall pick (remember Richardson from Florida). However he went from 8.6 ypa 3200 yard 28 TDs to 15 ints, to 6.7 ypa 1812 yards 16 TDs to 6 ints. He was even worse running the ball too. Only difference in what was better was his turnovers.

In all honesty Moore's problems don't come close to Allen's, but now I think even more importantly that Moore just doesn't want to go to the Jets lol. Also the Browns could be looking for a QB again this year lol.

Dude took this job as a retirement gig and didn’t give a shite. Unreal.
later on he was worthless, but Kelly put in WORK his first year here. Many forget that we had half a team at LSU when he got here. Man brought in a huge portal class like Kiffin, and one of the people he brought in was Jayden Daniels. He was able to retain our high school OL guys like Kiff was able to retain our DL guys. He got Perkins to LSU, got a name recognition only 3 star freshman TE to LSU, and basically built a DB room through the portal like Kiffin built the WR room. Noah Cain out the portal was brilliant for us too (5.4 ypc 10 TDs in first year here). Took a team that went 11-11 over the prior 2 years, and went 10-4 his first year here, beating Nick Saban and making it to the SECCG.

The problem with Kelly is that he wouldn't adapt fast enough and wouldn't get LSU spending fast enough. Had he went to the boosters after that first season and let them know that we needed that big money in the portal for defense, we'd likely already have won a national championship 2 years ago. Kiffin is parlaying his Ole Miss success with LSU, and LSU boosters' thirst for success. Also, rev share is something Kelly didn't get a chance at like Kiffin is. Kiffin is mastering convincing many great players to play at the same position, but he's also spending a ridiculous amount of money doing it. This QB hual, which i love to death (thank you Longstreet and Clark for willing to be backups), is no less than 8 million dollars, and could be somewhere between 8.5-9 mill. I remember clearly when Jayden Daniels was leaked to be making less money than both starting tackles and Perkins during his heisman year. Most of his deals came from national brands that worked with him and a couple other kids from around the country.

The final thing that separates them clearly is that Kiffin won't get complacent. He seems to be one of those football guys that are relentless in their approach to the game. Hear me when I say this, LSU will be a mainstay in the top 5, not just top 10. I'm talking Ohio St, UGA, Saban Bama level.

maybe, but why not get better coaching from an NFL team that's going to give him a $30 million contract.

And, he'd be one year closer to his second NFL contact.
Why do people still talk like QB contracts in the NFL aren't almost always fully guaranteed?

he might be making a mistake like Nuss did
plus the QB class next year might be better especially if Arch comes out
doesn't matter if QB class is better. Moore's talent is still that of a #1 overall. Let's say people still want Arch #1 regardless, Moore will still go top 5-6 overall. He didn't want to go to a QB graveyard in the Jets (same thing Josh Allen did when he stayed another year to not have to go to the Browns), and those last several games he a turnover machine. It made sense to get paid 5-6 mill (the amount a top 11-10th pick in the draft would get paid per year), to come back.
quote:

I don't buy this as being legit. There's no way he was in that much demand.
What? Look, I know he faltered in 4 of his last 5 games, but people still remember his first 10 games. 280 yards and 2 TDs per game. 2780 yards 67% 8.2 ypa 22 TDs to 2 ints in first 10 games. Did you know that Bama's run game was as bad as ours? Same yards per game. Our RBs averaged more yards per carry, but theirs scored more TDs per game. Their run game during the postseason was the worst shite imaginable. They were -3 vs UGA, 25 for 28 yards vs Oklahoma, and 17 for 23 yards vs Indiana.

Every team that was listed to have offered him have a 1000+ yard running back returning.

This is even more of a head-scratcher for Chambliss. If he stays for a 6th season, he will be 3 of 4 years older than his top QB competition heading to the NFL. If he does succeed, that’s 1 less year of top NFL earning potential, which would be much more than what he’s being paid for a 6th season in college.
1. Bird in the hand.

2. NFL QB contracts are almost, if not always, fully guaranteed. That means that as long as he gets a big 2nd contract, he'll get all his money regardless
quote:

I wont get excited until start of season. We said same things about the group last year including Anderson who is back and did nothing last year.

I will wait and see if it translates. Over under 500 yards 5 tds.. I will take under
Anderson was coming off an injury. Missed his sophomore season entirely.
I have already. I got him pegged as a starter. Mike Evans comp for me.
If this actually happens, I will never question what Kiffin is doing in the portal again lol.
quote:

Agreed. Frank wasn’t getting rooms like this unless Fournette and Guice stumbled into his lap being homegrown.
Literally Noah Cain and Caden Durham

Just give it a rest yall.
Holy shite! Didn't think that would happen after literally just looking at this kid an hour ago lol. He's exactly the bull we need for the RB group.

5 to play 5. No waivers, no appeals, no redshirts, no gray areas.

This is how it should be. Would remove much of the controversy.
ehh, I still think medical waivers should be a thing, but do away with the JUCO and other loopholes.
quote:

How about we regulate the pay and keep the current rules? Sounds like yet another money grab from the players.
The only way that happens is if you 100% go the NFL route. Player's union, salary cap, rookie (aka true freshman), wage scales, binding contracts meaning the kid can't play for another team if he's under contract.

The thing is, that doesn't stop the sponsorships.

He can be our Noah Cain of this team. In 2022 in a backfield that featured 4 RBs and Jayden Daniels, Cain finished with 10 TDs on 75 carries. We scored 39 rushing TDs that year and that's after 2020 and 2021 combined years of only 18 total rush TDs.

Just keep Parker and call it a day. Unless he’s looking to start.
Parker is in his 4th year. He is 100% looking to start.
