ND were fairly confident earlier in proceedings but once his father effectively took over the process and put the emphasis squarely on NIL, the Irish's unwillingness to get involved in pre-signing deals meant that that was ND realistically out of the running. Unless Dante himself has a change of heart then I expect he'll end up in the Pacific NW.

I’ll come out and say it, and I understand it’s going to be the price of admission for these big time QB’s at least until there’s a correction, but no HS kid that hasn’t taken a snap is worth 2 mil a year.

Getting a top tier QB was always going to be difficult this year. We have a top 5 QB room in the country, with multiple young studs. These days it is rare to find a kid who wants to wait 6 years to start.
