UW officials suspect that Williams has already held conversations with other programs and the school plans to submit any tampering evidence to the league and NCAA.

Is it tampering if LSU talks to his agent?

Because that's what happens no?

The agreement (1) prohibits a player from entering the portal once signed (this is why UW is refusing to enter his name into the portal)

I'm not aware of any school successfully refusing a player entry to the portal. Again, whatever agreement he signed with Washington has absolutely nothing to do with NCAA portal rules. If they violate those rules, they're in a big mess.

The NCAA and other schools aren't part of whatever agreement he signed. Also why couldn't this be maneuvered around by removing the football program from the equation and having his agent facilitate all NIL deals with the businesses that are pro-LSU?

I find it funny the league that was about to sign a deal with private equity is trying to draw the line at this. They were about to sell their souls until the back lash came and the 2 biggest schools in conference stepped in. frick that pedophilic conference.

Also, it still feels weird Washington being in the Big 10.

That's an interesting point. Might be time to break out this popcorn for this one.

UW quietly increases Williams NIL deal and he stays and this goes away

I think it’s too late for that, this is already way out in the open

The SEC doesn't give a damn about big 10 templates.
i wouldn't go that far. I'd imagine that every school outside the Big 10 is going to use this to their advantage in negotiating with players moving forward. Why sign with a Big 10 conference team that the conference is out to get you and hold you down, when you can come to the SEC instead?

Not really. You should be allowed to work wherever you want.

Well, that depends on if that was him last night at football ops or not.

But yes, supposedly that's how it normally goes.

Uneroll from Washington, enroll at LSU and be a "walk-on" for the football team.

That's essentially what Xavier Lucas did last year going from Wisconsin to Miami. Not sure if he walked on, though.

Delly hoping to wreck LSU for his boy Pete

No, he’s not. He’s reporting what’s in Washington’s own contract. He’s not telling Washington or LSU anything they didn’t already know. 33 up votes for this crybaby bullshite.

So has he been paid a dime from this new agreement? At most, they can be made whole. I doubt they can prove damage.

If they try to prevent him from transferring, they are opening a huge can. I don’t think the NCAA is ready for that.

No shite. That would be a tough one to overcome if claiming no contact was made.

What prevents another school signing an NIL deal with him? Who has oversight with this? NCAA

So Williams can just withdraw from school, transfer to LSU, and because of the agreement, LSU can't give him any rev share?

Bag money and a Bentley. Cased closed. It just means more. UW needs to stick to rowing.

Imagine this board if this happened in reverse, and we lost someone who was under contract.

Conveniently omitting that the contract is illegal & conveniently omitting that UW is in the same process with Fifita.

I used to like Delly but he clearly has an agenda here, and it isn’t just one post.

Hate to have to say it because he did great work here, but frick em.
