honestly with the WR class we have coming in it does not make a ton of sense to use a spot on a 1 and done guy.

I definitely think he could go somewhere better suited for him.

The decision was made after the Iron Bowl. My source is sticking to the claim of him coming to Auburn.

He does have the best chance to come in right away and be a legitimate threat. I would have more confidence in him than a true freshman. I agree with you on the class, but there is merit in taking him. I think he ends up at auburn but would love for him to don P&G.

Why is this the sense around here all of a sudden? However talented Dupre, Noil, or the others, they're still going to be freshman. With Beckham and Landry leaving, it'd be pretty huge to have Williams across from Dural to give Jennings a little more experience to work with. I see us going three and four wide pretty regularly next year so I don't think that will leave anyone out in the cold on a regular basis.

As much as we want him we don't NEED him like Auburn does. He knows he will be the main target for Marshall. With DC's focusing on stopping Marshall and Mason from running that it will leave Quille open. So I agree he won't be coming here. It sure would be nice though.

Fair point, but I think Auburn will be significantly more balanced next year once the Qb gets a full off season to work the offense. He has a good arm and some talent, he just has to be more consistent. Working with the play book and receivers over a full off season should result in a small bump up from his 60% completion percentage this season and approximately 5-7 more pass attempts per game.

over/under on how many TD's he has called back next year because the refs now will focus on blocking and ineligible receivers down field?

One of you barners posting in here, what WRs do yall have coming back next year? Will Coates still be there? Quille would be an immediate #1 or #2 correct?

Auburn returns all wide receivers. D'haquille Williams will likely be a #2, maybe even #1, depending on his willingness to learn the playbook and block when he is not getting the ball.

We have 0 senior WR and none likely to leave early. If DW does come to AU, he, Coates, Louis, and Bray will get most of the PT at WR.

Great get for AU! Gus will throw the ball next year and that offense is going to be unstoppable!

I've seen some rumblings that at least one of these two might stay

if that's the tradeoff for losing D'haquille I'd take it 100 out of 100 times

Hope he makes it down here but a scholarship on an one and done makes me ok with not getting him.
