The comedians run off all of the good posters who bring info. Not everyone will bring major boom info. As a huge tiger fan most of us enjoy every little tid bit.

Yea. People that only want to argue no matter what the topic. They need to keep that bs on tRant. CoachJ only wanted to inform and update not argue. He doesn’t have time for nonsense.

I know Coach J personally and I will try to talk him into coming back. I'm the one who told him about this forum in the first place.
But it would help if the trash would stay off this thread that belittle/and cause Coach to defend his kid when he is trying to get him to LSU even though LSU's QB development has been poo poo.

Then why the hell are you sitting here arguing with somebody who deals with football on a daily basis? You are right, your opinion isn't respected because you've admitted to not knowing shite on a higher level than 99% of the rest of this board. So, all you are doing is going off of what you read on a recruiting site, or what you THINK you see in a video. Yet you are sitting here arguing with a dude that deals with football as his career, and running a solid poster off the board. What a douche.

People on this site just have a way of getting under your skin, and it can be very irritating to the point where you must back away from the keyboard. I have played sports since the age of 5 in biddy league sports all the way up to being a 3 sports star in HS in New Orleans, to accepting a scholly to play CB at Texas Tech in Lubbock in the early 80's. I tore my right knee up twice frustratingly ending my playing days as I felt I had the talent to play in the NFL, but it is what it is and you move on in life.
But I have to defend myself on here a lot because I know from being on here how carried away people can get and insult you right and left, even though some have never played a day of organized sports in their lives they will argue with you til you might feel like killing someone. Lol But when it gets like that I just back away, and take a break, these people don't know me and I don't know them, they don't know about my sports history, I can only say what I did in my youth and know that it will be questioned because that was awhile ago and I am not known by y'all.
But I just love to come on here and talk LSU football because I'm a big fan of the athletes that LSU get to play ball there, and I know that if I had come up in these times I would have definitely committed to LSU to play ball. But it is frustrating as hell talking sports on here to people that don't really know sports like you do, and I can certainly understand this coach's frustrations. The only thing I questioned that he said was his kid "Quad's" ability being much better than any LSU QB's, past or present. I think that is a stretch, I know you're excited about your kid, but you're insulting great athletes that have signed on to play QB with LSU that have had incredible HS careers, and now have the chance to have the same at LSU with the right coaching and offense. I like this kids ability, but I would say just dial it back a lil coach. Lol

This is kind of how I felf on the subject, but I suppose my rant from yesterday did not put it as nicely as you did here. For me this thread just went from a feel good story of this relatively unknown kid who is wishing of an offer from LSU, then it got away from that a little and became "I was told he is better than Jameis at this age, or "he has an arm comparable to Jamarcus Russell," and I don't recall exactly how he put it, but like you referenced the "Quad is better than any other QB that LSU has had in the last decade."
I may not have coached football before, but I did coach basketball for 7 years so I know how the whole coach speak thing is, so I largely ignored the Jameis and Jamarcus things. But comparing Quad to two first overall picks and saying Quad had a similar arm to maybe one of the more lively arms of our time in Jamarcus did give me pause. Like you tubucoco, the LSU QB one is where I started thinking "this is getting a little to big." Say what you want about how LSU has developed their QB's as of late, but they have had some TREMENDOUS talent come through this program. Like I put it yesterday, I thought the legend was becoming a little bigger than kid. Clearly given others voices I should have kept that to myself I guess, but to each his own.

There's quite a difference between admitting not knowing anything about football and do what I did, is admit I never coached a day in my life lol.
Ltown, regardless if you'd like to relay the message let Coach J know I'll steer clear of my opinion of the kid and continue to enjoy the story like I was prior to yesterday. The board shouldn't be kept from this story.

I spoke with Coach J the past two days. I'm still working on him To come back. He's been busy though.
