Few skill positions and no 5 stars yet, so he's got a very valid point

Where did we fail? WR is my only concern at this point.

I agree with you overall and I like the class. But assuming we don't get a QB, we'd better get one next year. Personally, I think it stings if Rogers goes to TCU. I think he will be very good. But this class so far is very solid.

he did say that if this class finishes outside the top 10 when it's all said and done, it would be a disappointment.

What is the difference in the No. 8 and No.11 classes?

Virtually nothing. I would say there is very little difference in the approximate top 10 or so. Once you are ranked that high, it is all about meeting needs and judging other factors, like grades, attitude, personality, etc.

If he doesn’t finish with a top 10 class it will be a disappointment.
And will not be a good omen for O to have less talented players while also being the 2nd best coach on the field for nearly all the games.

There aren't many package deals. But look to the north.

It will be a top 10 class. However, if it finishes at 11 would that be a failure in your eyes?

The people that dislike O will bitch regardless of what he does. Just let them do their thing, no matter how dumb.

This class will finish top 10 basically if we get 1 of our remaining targets of Surtain/Joseph/Cook/Marshall. We’ll be fine.

I really don't think it will, either.

He doesn't like it that they aren't all 4 or 5 star rated?

Someone should point out that very few teams are getting 5 stars at this early signing. Alabama got 1 so far.

If LSU finishes with the 8th ranked class, it means they have signed Marshall, Surtain, Joseph, Joiner, Chase and/or possibly Goodrich or Cook. If LSU finishes No. 11, it likely means they've missed on a few of their top targets. Personally, I want a top 10 class. But that's me.

Only 1 package deal I know of and all 3 of those kids from Evangel are solid players. The kids from Rome, GA been fell through with the last 1, the DT quitting a few weeks ago.

Well, please tell that to Broadcaster, who seems to think at this point it's impossible for LSU to finish in the top-10 with the 2018 class. LSU leads for all of those guys at this point. I was simply pointing out the error in his thinking.

Tdecline is real!

#Obinderfail

Only disappointment so far is the lack of RB's in this class that have signed or might sign.

That's why I asked him. He said to look north and I'm curious who he thinks is dragging this class down.

I think his point is we had an opportunity to really outrecuit our competition. We wont come close to bama or uga. Probably not as good as auburn. On par with schools like UF, TAm that went through turmoil.

LSU will finish within no more than 9 spots of both in one of the most down years the stat of Louisiana has seen in over a decade. Stop being dramatic.

He didn't say he "doesn't like this class" so far, all he said was that if LSU were to finish, say 14th in the recruiting rankings, it would be a bit of a disappointment considering all the upheaval in the SEC coaching ranks this year. He made the point that we are already behind programs like Alabama, Georgia right now in terms of recruiting, so finishing 14th would not be good enough. Mind you, he didn't predict LSU would finish 14th, he simply said that if they did, it would be a disappointment.
