Willie Ferrell finally admitted that LSU was not the place for him! Alot of people had concerns about him and now there will be no concern!

I have mixed feelings about it.
On one hand, the dude has led (or been really high) the state of florida in tackles. That leads me to believe he has that intangible linebacking trait that great linebackers have.
On the other hand people say hes slow and has bad grades.
I hope we dont regret letting him go.

also played in an inferior league--thus the stats--the coaches had backed off from him months ago---good luck to him.

Then why did no one else put up those stats in his inferior league? Yes competition isn't as good but good players CAN and DO come out of small classification ball. It's just dumb to completely pass off someone playing very well JUST because they play against not as good competition as others. Fine to bring it up as a point, but not right to completely dismiss a guy based on it.
I tihnk it says enough he's been playing (STARTING) varsity ball since 7th grade. The guy is a born football player.

didn't dismiss him because of that---he just wouldn't have led the state in tackles in an upper, more competitive league. I don't offer schoolies.
