depending on what he's telling the LSU coaches, you're right. Ultimately it doesn't matter what the fans hear. But if he's lying to the coaches to help out Auburn and screw LSU, then he's a piece of shite, and Auburn is as well for asking him to do it.
But, with two other RBs in the class and us not pursuing an RB to replace him, it makes it unlikely that even if he's lying to LSU it will make much of a difference. With Jackson, we were also pursuing Myles and would have gotten him if either side had advanced knowledge of Jackson's intentions.
Well said. The situations seem very different.

He basically already spilled it. He thinks Hill is an AU silent, and the reason he is silent is so he won't scare off another RB that Auburn is recruiting.
Judging by the fact that he has a visit set up in January, I would guess that other RB is Isiah Crowell.

OK then spill it.
And I stand by what I said about this not being comparable to JJ.
If Hill is a silent, that is one thing. But JJ had commitments to two schools at the same time, which is just dirty.

how about you stop being a freak and let the kid go to school where he wants to go?
Tell that to AU or HIS MOM you asswipe. And "how about" I type what the frick I like.
Do you know what AU is promising? Or ALA? NO! Being a man is tuff and sometimes you even have to tell mommy to get out of the way. SO you quit being a bitch about it. Kid is at a crossroads, some take the challenge, some run away from it and end up regretting it! The reasonings made public so far are horrible reasons to leave the state and go against your home state WHO YOU WERE RECRUITING FOR last month!

Dude, I can appreciate you being a tiger and being passionate and all. But you are sounding a like you need a hobby or two. This is an 18 year old kid that you aren't related to and probably don't know and you think he is waiting around for your advice to make the biggest decision of his life to this point. That would be a kin to me telling you not to tight roll your blue jeans. Lighten up Francis

I'm really liking the angle some of you guys are taking on this one. It's ALL his mom. I'd be willing to bet not one person on this board has ever spoken to his mother besides possibly in the bleachers while she was trying to watch her son play ball. I have not read anywhere besides this board that that is the case. If the kid is indeed having family issues then that's a private matter and absolutely NONE of any of our business and certainly doesn't deserve the venom being spewed at him by faceless losers on the internet who probably have zero knowledge of said family issue.

Unless you have sat in on their recruiting meetings, neither do you hot shot.

Again, I seriously doubt you've ever spoken with, nor would you be able to pick his "mommy" out of a lineup. Speaking poorly about HS kids mothers is for real men. If Hill were to read this thread and then see you face to face, I think he would probably prove to you his manhood.

Why don't you live your life and not get so mad about what college this kid wants to play running back for?
You come off incredibly PSYCHO from your posts.

Hill is a great player and from all accounts a great kid,....whatever school he chooses I wish him the best, his is still a Louisiana kid and I always cheer for them except when they play LSU. I hope he ends up at LSU, but if its not meant to be, then it is what it is. Move on and cheer for the players we do have and not against the ones we didn't get. I think we have a bunch of young RBs and a couple coming into the class that are going to be special. I think Hill is a special player, but if he isn't coming, I respect his choice. LSU won't be ruined over it.

Didn't see the part where I said I was mad and ONLY spoke about what was said on this board. IF, and a big IF they are the real facts, his choice of running is a bad one. Read everything before you throw your general studies partial degree knowledge in.

So him being violent would be showing his manhood? Let him show it on the field at LSU.
I in NO way put the kid down. I wrote a satire type challenge that went right over the weaker minds like yours. It was part love for LSU, part joking at others and HIM talking about him reading message boards, and part reality of what he is definitely facing at this most dificult time. I don't put him down for running away from whatever issues face him, I do however think it is showing his character when he tries to sway the same kids he begged to commit at LSU and get them to go to our DIVISION RIVALS!
Other than that, good bye to the kid, it's a bad move and IF he thinks he can't hack it at LSU, them maybe he can't. But I disagree, I think he is a better SEC type everydown back that Hilliard and you can go research previous posts for those facts that I stand behind. And I do think that those other coaches are telling him about our depth every second of every day that they can.
Have you ever been recruited?...in sports? A bunch of people who have been involved in this know whats going on in general.

If it is a personal family matter, then whatever she feels best is what's going to happen. Some things are bigger than football. memphis said something to the effect of her wanting to get away from the father. If anyone complains about that, you need to re-evaluate your life. And like was said above, that should be a private matter in the first place.
Anyway, Crowell ain't coming to Auburn. The guy hasn't liked Auburn from the beginning for whatever reason and unless he's been BS'ing everyone for months, he's either going to uga(probably) or bama.

from what ive read, sounds to me like a kid really being concerned about the depth chart here... hopefully in the end he'll realize shunning his hometown school is a mistake

If he's from LA and capable of playing the SEC then I want him in P&G plain and simple. Obviously, there comes a numbers issue. We can't sign'em all but I don't want to see us losing the best-of-the-best.
But from all indications Jeremy Hill is a great talent. LSU will survive/thrive if he goes elsewhere, but I would love to cheer for a hometown kid.
There's lots of RB talent in the pipeline, so should Hill go elsewhere we'll still be Ok.
But one of the things Les needs to maintain/grow is the sense that LSU is THE univesity of Lousisana. Seeing talents like Hill go elsehwere is not the way to do it.

He really does.
But he will go where his mother wants him to go.
I only fault him for the way he is trying to play LSU right now.
