Chump? Who the frick are you? I've forgotten more about football and recruiting than you'll ever know. Is he a solid back? Yes. But name me the last stud running back that ran a forty at 4.7 or slower (I'll be generous here).

right now he's slow. That's not to say he can't work on that, but trucking defenders in high school and trucking defenders in the SEC are two different things.

I'm not saying I'm not glad he committed, but people in here are calling him the best back in the country and a potential top 20 national recruit and that's just delusional unless he gets faster.

Speed at RB is very overrated. He doesn't need to run faster than he does with his style of running. We are not playing in the pros at LSU.He has vision, toughness and enough quickness to get the job done.Rb's don't run full speed that often. If he peels of 40 yards and gets caught then so be it.Charles Scott had this happen also and I think he was pretty good.LSU fans aren't the only people saying he is a top 25-50 player next year.I talk to people all over the country and they believe the same thing. He's not #1 but top 3-5 easy.

Idk what his 40 time is and I don't give a shite...you probably gush over QB arm strength too

and RB is by far the easiest position for a frosh/rookie to have success at, we see it ever year

just about everyone with a respected opinion disagrees, so again, stfu

hahaha, whatever you say kid. Just curious, who are some of these people with "respected opinions" who are saying this? And have you ever actually played organized sports?

You usually have a good opinion on recruits, but this time you're way off. Like I stated before, you can't go by the forty time you're talking about, because it was ran on a bad field in poor condition. Also, your statement on his highlights was a poor opinion. Hes clearly faster than you're giving him credit for. I'm not trying to be an a-hole to you, but you're clearly wrong IMO.

40 time is not the end all be all but you have to be quick enough to hit holes in the SEC. You can't just rely on your ability to run people over. Again, he has great vision and is a powerful guy, but it takes more than that to be an elite runner. There are other aspects that people on here refuse to look at. He's got time to correct these things since he's only a junior, but in college he'l be playing against guys much bigger and faster than he's playing against now.

I dont think the All-Time NFL rushing leader was much faster than 4.7...if even that fast. I can count on one hand the number of really long runs he ever busted. But I still think hilliard is in the 4.6 range.

How fast was Maurice Clarett for OSU a few years back...ya he got fat after his freshman year...but he still wasnt that fast. He was the same kinda back as Hilliard.

Athlete Vault has him as the #43 player in the nation and the 7th RB for the class of 2011.

Tom Lemming has both Kenny Hilliard and Jeremy Hill as junior All-Americans.

I am sure your evaluation is superior to these guys' evaluations. I think these other guys probably based their opinions from on-field performance for Kenny's 2009 junior season.

You probably don't remember Gary James. He was suppose to be the best back LSU signed the same year we got Dalton Hilliard. James had the blazing speed.

Not only that but at the end of their careers James was touted as the better NFL prospect of the two...and guess who had the better career in the league?

only thing he lacks is elite speed, but he is fast enough b/c everything else he does is top level. saying he'll be only a FB or a LB as others have before is asinine.
